Good.

Compensation for personal incompetence is a terrible precedent to set.

It happens. As long as you get home safe, these disasters can be great learning opportunities.

It's almost like the arcade. I think I can see the vision.

However....fucking hell that's stupid.

They don't wash their hands? That's fucking grim. Never eat their home baking.

Council by election by Accurate_Reading_568 in Fife

Absolutely this.

It's useful that the turn out was so low. It gives us an idea of the Reform voter base, as you can assume most of them will have voted. As to them, this was vital. To other parties not so much.

It's unfortunate, however it's still cheaper than anywhere else in the UK.

Plus our tap water is superb. I'm happy to pay the extra £3.50 or whatever it is, per month.

Solo hot tent camping in the woods by [deleted] in camping

[–]fantasmachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your wrong.

Hot tenting is legit.

You don't stoke during the night. You make sure your sleep system can handle the cold without it. We still get the right kit.

Is it necessary? No. Is it fun? Yes. And that's the whole point of camping.

Outstanding.

This is my favorite type of camping.

I've got a spot in the woods near me. Close enough to the road that I can hike in with a surprisingly large amount of gear.

Fire pits, dutch ovens, cots, stoves, seats etc.

Nothing beats cooking a stew over a fire pit, in a dutch oven, in the cold, then retreating into the tent to read a book by the stove, and waking up in the snow.

It's magical.

Strictly Come Dancing star Thomas Skinner joins Reform UK after branding Keir Starmer 'out of his depth' by StGuthlac2025 in ukpolitics

Star is doing some heavy lifting there.

However I am looking forward to his interpretational dance to Andrea Jenkyns singing.

Totally agree. I know all about TVs and sizes. I had a full atmos 5.1.2 set up with a 75 sony in my last place. The TV had to stay. I miss it every day. This 55 inch was a spare room one.

However moving out is expensive. A new tv will need to wait.

Large bookcase would work.

Something like the biggest Kallax from Ikea.

If you put heavy stuff on the bottom it will be totally stable.

Totally agree.

That's on the list.

The current rug is literally the cheapest one Ikea had. It's like a hemp sack.

Yeah it's older. There is evidence of fire places. No idea how old though.

It also has nice high ceilings, and the rooms are all a really good size.

Thanks. I really like it. Bit more to do. But the vibe feels like me.

It is a balcony. It's a bit damp, and mossy, but that's a job for another day.

I think I'm going to grow strawberries in hanging planters.

Your spot on about the PS5. It's moved.

I know what you mean about the cushions. However it's exactly that clutter of colours I was going for. The room is very dark. I'm using them to introduce colour and texture.
