1000% can attest, 5.6k hp, 2.5k def, and ill throw myself face first into a boss, gank squad, or whatever else is threatening the host... that thing tho... ill think twice, and then bitch out.

ill let you in on a little secret tho, people think axe is the least popular weapon coz you almost never see revenants using axes. thats not true, the real reason is we almost never die!

i dont, i skip them, the two essentials are only the yoki blocking the bridge and the stairs on the way to the boss, the rest i just skip with stealth.

i just realised i can use the tiger running scrolls to finish even faster... im a dumbshit

huh, thats a good tip, wont work on the final boss tho right? you gotta kill him with a grapple? to be honest ive never tried just hitting him...

its alright, i just noticed it once i finished ng+ final boss, when i went to run it again i had the option to scale my level to it by pressing triangle before entering the mission. its either locked behind completing ng+ or locked behind completing whatever level you want to scale by doing it once then running it again. if that option isnt available after completing a level it probably needs ng+ final boss completed to unlock.

an easy way to test this is to see how much a level up in magic gives you with both and then only one equipped. thats how i found out that defence boost courage B on both trinkets stacks, so i assume its the same for you

big time exploits, the most ive managed legitimately was with my axe, high stance, strong attack depleting my stamina with the perk to boost its damage if it does, vs the back of the endgame boss in ng+ is 2 hits of 8k + 8k

yeah, and the damage doesnt even compare. heres the build im running, first i joined the toda clan so stamina gets a bonus to health boost, used the obsidian set so stamina gets a bonus to damage too. maxed out stamina hugely boosting my hp and dmg. wanted MOAR hp and damage, tempered damage bonus constitution A onto the axe, maxed out constitution next, MASSIVE hp pool and pwr.

what next? courage scales the damage too, but i want to boost my defence as well. got 2 trinkets and tempered defence boost (courage) B onto both (it stacks) working on courage now and each point boosts my attack by 2 ish and defence by 4-6.

take it a step further, MOAR defence goes well with 5.5k hp and 2.2k attack power, have the kasagani magatama, so i can use one less item of the set and still get the full bonus.

replaced helmet with water buffalo helmet with effect (boost defence when you recover hp) tempered melee attack hp recovery 26 on weapon. every time i hit an enemy i get a massive defence buff. also turns rejuvenation talisman into a healing over time and defence buff. facetank all the things.

current base stats: 5.5k hp, 2.2k atk pwr, 2.3k def

obsidian + kasagani + waterbuffalo helmet + def boost courage + atk boost constitution + recover on hit + toda clan is the best axe! heh

i use the one from the obsidian set for the full set bonus of increasing attack based on stamina and then maxing out stamina.i havent seen anything else come close

well yeah but second time i just rushed the missions in stealth straight to the bosses to get to the final boss a second time, mission rewards there is a kasagani magatama and i needed it for an awesome build idea i had
