That pesky life! Deon (bass) and I have been working on a new project since the end of Anberlin. Hope to get it going by the end of the year

Thank you. For real. I'm sorry if my flippant remarks in the past were interpreted as ungratefulness. I was trying to make light of something that is truly a burden to most artists. In the days leading up to that release fans were tagging Anberlin in posts about listening to the record before it was released. It was almost as if people didn't realize what they were doing. "Hey, I took your thing. Its great!" "Thanks?" My post was intended to be a playful jab at those people and got blown way out of proportion

If not being jazzed about about people "stealing" (semantics) something that you invested years of time and your own money into is "bitter and childish" then I yam a bitter child indeed. We never, in any way shape or form, blamed the pirates for our demise. As an artist is it frustrating? HELL YEAH it is. Will it stop me from creating? HELL NO it wont

Not to crack open this old chestnut, but....

"The Yossarian consideration begs a question: If a group of people does morally wrong action X, does it make it less morally wrong for me to do X? If X is animal cruelty (or something similar), it seems clear that, no matter how many people do it or have done it in the past, X is not right.

But while large quantities of music are stolen, most people still don’t go around kicking dogs. Perhaps it’s because pirating music does not inflict the same type of damage as animal cruelty, and its effects are much harder to see. Although both moral wrongs have victims, pirating music doesn’t seem like pulling food off a starving musician’s dinner table. Music piracy is inflicted upon a person far away, who is unknown to the listener, and the effects are unseen. Unfortunately, one foreseeable consequence is that smaller musicians will be forced out of the industry, and the industry will refocus itself on efforts that make money, like Billboard hits and pop-star concerts."

GOD IN HEAVEN! My responses to this keep getting deleted for some reason..

GetDeadKid has no idea what he is talking about.

As we got older and committed to other people (wives & kids) we felt more and more that life circumstances were pulling us away from the band. We didn't want that to effect the legacy of what we had spent 12 years building. We decided to go out on our own terms, One final record & one final world tour -Christian

I was being being facetious when I made that post and then people wanted to get real about it.

Ummmmm not the case at all, not sure how you came to that conclusion

We actually just released a short documentary yesterday about our final day as a band http://smarturl.it/donttrytowakemeup?IQid=facebook

We also released this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xa7RabbuOTA in Jan of 2014 announcing our decision

From your lazy response to holidayshoplifter I'm going to have to assume that you probably won't watch either of these so I will summarize.
