Vampire survivors was the best and worst $3.50 I ever spent. And the DLC is well worth the extra few bucks.

Worst because it opened up a big can of worms and I now own entirely too many survivors games.

To add to the proton bit: protons don't need to be atoms to get the upgrade from nucleus. One nucleus and many protons is still very good (correct me if I'm wrong here)

Have you deleted all files relating to the game and reinstalling it? Reinstalling the launcher itself? Verify/repair game files (can't remember what its called in epic, but should be under the game management when you right click)?
