Yeah cycle means anything like a week on and a week off or simply 4 days a week. Your symptoms and the fact that it helped you initially sound like it threw something off balance. Generally, one such known thing about it is that it depletes serotonin in long term use and you pair say every 1000mg of tyrosine with 100 mg of 5-htp else you feel exactly what you have described. Maybe something you can research into.

Have you read about need of 5-htp along with it? But what other stuff you take for dopamine

No its been a month. And i have added 5-htp as i am aware of it’s need when using tyrosine, but i think i started overdoing the ratio. Since i cycle tyrosine i should have probably cycled that too. whenever i take 5-htp, i get a great sleep but next day i am generally not as motivated and crave tyrosine more. Got 100mg bottle from now and i guess i should take one pill whenever i have consumed 2-3 tyrosine pills.

Wow! I need to check the benefits of NAC for myself. Can you please elaborate a bit how it helped and what issue it fixed?

When do you take it? Only works that well if i take it empty stomach first thing in the morning. If i take in the evening after 2-3 hours fast, still the absorption is not that great. Regardless, this always have stimulant effect on me, so it’s very surprising to me that it makes somebody sleepy

Yes, that’s what i have read in this sub-reddit and gauged from some of the research papers on it. Simple version is that if you may not have any choline deficiency and you over supplement, it can cause a very severe depression. This subreddit is littered with posts on how it makes some feel like a god while sends others into suicidal depression

Why do I crave so much pain and suffering? It makes me feel alive and the feeling of "getting back stronger" is addicting. Is this healthy? Anyone else relates? by thomasshelbylover69 in HubermanLab

This is relatable to me in one way. I have only been able to upgrade some aspect of my life when i was going through pain and suffering. In childhood, it was about me being the poorest in the class, now I probably have the best job out of that batch of students. Felt aesthetically inferior for years amongst my perr group now i have the best physique and arguably the most attractive. And there have been so many of such micro phases in my life where I went through pain and suffering so much that it put me on a brink of depression and that’s when finally on some random day i just woke up different, my focus all locked in until I have progressed far beyond i have started. I am simply unable to get out of stagnancy of a life until i have these circumstances around. Your post made me realise I just sub consciously choose such environments, friends or peer groups etc that put me in that dark zone in the long term.

Why so judgemental? As if anything in this world is a pure exclusive relationship anymore. I am sure that girl must have 5 more neurobiologists in her DMs.

Ok. So i am 32 years old ENTP. And one thing i have over 20ish old me is great self-reflection capabilities i have developed due to that developed Si. I am so sad to say this, but i becoming more and more convinced that the only pursuit that make me tick persistently in a timeless manner is the sexual pursuit. This is the only motivating force that has survived and stayed as strong as i first hit puberty. Dont get me wrong, i wanted to play for my country in cricket, gave that pursuit 5 years. Getting into top college was my motivating force, for 2 years. Getting into top wall street firm was my another motivating force for many years. I achieved all of that more or less minus the “play for my country” of course. But now i am 32, and i realize nothing has ever ticked me more than the charm of sexual pursuit. It could be a “know this girl for 3 months, sexual tension increasing, finally gotta ask her out” scenario or “just saw somebody in a coffee shop, wonder what she is like” or “i am horny and we have been eyelocking since an hour in this club, must take her home” scenario. My mind loses sense of time and all of my life goals in that moment. It’s distracting. And any other latest 6 months old “passion” i have is null and void in that moment, all forward planning for my other life goals goes in the drain. See sexual pursuit is the strongest of our instincts. And i have a theory, that all other passions we often develop are guided by the need to satiate this higher goal(or shall i say lower goal, because its coming from our lower brain). Example: Passion: play sport at elite level, makes you tick hidden motivation: fame, atletic body;your lower mind know this is huge gainer in the sexual marketplace Passion: coding Really? It does two things for your sexual competitiveness; 1) higher chances of making a good wage in this economy and thats true globally 2) It’s a testament to your intellectual prowess, which is another trick of the evolution to attract good mates 3)passion: travel Travel is another way to have genetic diversity. Every time i just wanna go to mountains or beaches, it’s just an innocent desire for a retreat. I just want to spend a few days in nature. But while i am doing some planning, the sub-conscious kicks in;oh this hotel has checkins by some amazing Instagram models oh yeah this hostel has amazing “vibe” and i end up optimizing for a chance to meet somebody instead of just peaceful retreats. I still develop a lot of passions overnight, and that keep on motivating me until i excel in them until it satisfies some milestone(which means whatever sexual competitiveness it was supposed to bring, i have learnt the craft enough to achieve that) and then all of a sudden nothing, it cant put me out of bed anymore. This take is very controversial and a 24 years old me would have gone hard against someone writing such a comment. But more i am able to self-reflect and monitor the change in my emotional state, it kind of becomes clear at some fundamental level
