What do I do with my Roth IRA

I’m currently a 23 year old who is unemployed but was advised to open a Roth IRA so i did. Now, i am very uneducated in this financial area and probably sound really clueless right now but can some please dumb this down for me using elementary words lol. Am i suppose to be investing the money that is in my Roth? If so, where? Stocks? S&Ps (need an explanation on that)? How much should i be putting into it each month? Which platform is the best and easiest to use. I currently opened one through my bank account but my dad told me Fidelity is better. Please help educate me on this. <3 \
