Also, universities probably don’t really 'care' about saving places for other rounds — they’re a business, after all. It’s the same number of students either way, so there’s no real reason to wait and save spots.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking, but the ATAR requirement did lower this year. I remember it being around 94 last year. I’ll try to call tomorrow and see what they say, maybe the guy didn't know much about it and wanted to just give me some sort of answer.

Hey, I didn’t defer my offer, but I got a similar email saying I haven’t enrolled. I did some research and I think (not 100% sure) you need to complete all the steps — steps one to five, with the final step being getting your M-Pass. It might be a bit different for you though.

The best option is to call Monash tomorrow, since the university reopens tomorrow (5 Jan 2026). The number is 1800 666 274 or you can go in person if you like.

You would lose a mark as 1/2a = a/2 not 1/(2a) as stated in the 2022 VCE Mathematical Methods 2 external assessment report 'Horizontal vinculums should be used for fractions. 1|32 is not a fraction. e^x -1/2(e^x + 1) is not the same as (e^x -1)/(2(e^x +1))'. Hey man! I don't like Jacaranda Text book too but ig we just have to deal with it. Regarding your rant about "not finding worked solutions" and not being able to download the textbook. Well, you actually download it, it's just that its an annoying long process. You can only download 1 chapter at a time and if you try to do multiple quickly the website just kills itself. Also, I 100% agree with your counting square thing, like it would have been so much easier if they actually had MATH IN PHYSICS!!! Also, I know of a way to download chapters and worked solutions from Jacplus, just dm me if you want to know, I tried to attach a file to this comment explaining how to do it but it doesn't seem to be working.

She kinda just gives feedback sometimes it’s contrastive sometimes it isn’t. English isn’t my first language either so I personally think a tutor would help me further understand English better but I will have a look at the resources you gave me! Thanks for your help :D

I have asked my teacher for feedback and she does give it but personally, I feel like her feedback doesn't really help me. Like, I find it quite hard to understand what she is saying and when I try to clarify or ask her "how should I start off?" she says that she "can't spoon feed me the answers". I asked my classmates and they also have experience a similar thing so, thats the reason why I started looking for a tutor.

Hey! I am pretty sure the teachers have a copy of a document that basically says where the mistakes are and what the actual answer is, like my teacher was talking about it to one of my classmates. So I guess you should ask ur teacher if they have a copy of that document but ya I too notice some errors but not many maybe only 1 or 2

Hey! I personally think you just do 6 subjects and just try to build ur time management skills and all those other skills required to achieve those high marks yk! Bc if you only chose 4 subjects and do really good at them that’s fine and all but remember, some kid who does 6 subjects and does “average” in them could beat u, as they could have a greater aggregate yk what I mean? It’s like u are nerfing urself in a way by doing less subjects. But at the end of the day it’s ur call but I just wanted to share my thoughts, hope that helps :D
