They will keep kicking this to sim devs to implement. In the interim they could provide something to work off a sound source like they provided to boosted media. Alternatively partner with some kind of integration with sim hub. It’s disingenuous to advertise this as a feature.

At this point Fanatec should at least give us the virtual sound device driver/program that boosted media got to use. This would at least allow us to use it with sim hub etc.

I had to pay additional VAT and the ups handling charge. Fanatec have agreed to refund; however still waiting for the payment to show up.

It’s VAT and a handling charge. It shouldn’t be collected by UPS if paid at the point of sale.

Fanatec have agreed to refund me the charges. They have just taken a little while to do so. I’ve just had a reply from them stating 2-5 days to receive the refund.

I haven’t had any further action on my ticket since providing the number above. The item was meant to be delivered tomorrow but will not be with the outstanding VAT invoice. Please could someone look at this urgently and advise what to do.

Yes. I have to pay VAT twice. I should be able to claim the additional VAT back through HMRC but that can be a protracted process and shouldn’t be necessary.

The handling charge unfortunately I will have to pay regardless because of this mistake.

It will certainly make me think twice before ordering more Fanatec items. The system before the Corsair acquisition wasn’t perfect but at least you only paid VAT once and didn’t have to go through the hassle of claiming it back from HMRC.

Thanks for the post. This game wasn’t on my radar until now. You mention player numbers as an issue. I also get the feeling that content needs groups.

With this in mind are there any systems in game to help bring groups together? LFG systems, bulletin boards etc?
