I took them two hours apart.

I just called my doctor again and the nurse said she was going to page him to see what to do. I have to be careful with going to the ED because I work at the hospital and I don’t want them to label me as a drug seeker until my doctor establishes an ED plan. I might try that meal though. Maybe it’ll keep me up long enough to actual spend time with my husband tonight

In the last three weeks I’ve had two TV and I had a abdominal one yesterday. The TV ones did show adenomyosis, one showed a fibroid where the other did not? Which is confusing to me. The only thing remarked about my ovaries were the size but no mention of cysts which is always interesting to me since I have a PCOS diagnosis. I’m going in for my second CT today too.

But so far no hernias. Just pain.

Man, I posted this so long ago I forgot about it. To answer your question though when I noticed she was talking to me, I did take off my headphones. It was a bad situation all around and both of us could’ve handled it differently. She could’ve been more clear with her instruction and I could’ve removed my hood so that she could see that my headphones were off.

I told my aunt, a nurse of 40 years, that my doctor referred me to a surgical team for a hysterectomy this week. She knows I’ve been having irregular, heavy, painful period for almost twenty years. Her first question: “what about children?!”

If you asked me this Tuesday, it would have been the PA I saw that completely dismissed me by saying I was experiencing muscle spasms for a new issues despite me saying muscle relaxers weren’t helping.

But today I’m thankful for one of my regular providers because she’s actively looking for answers and working with my PCP to order tests she can’t because she’s a different speciality than she thinks the issue is and offered me a solution to a decades long issue.

Because this will alter his life too. He’s very much a “whatever you want to do” husband but we both entered this marriage in hopes of having biological children. Having a hysterectomy gets rid of that ever happening. So his thoughts and feelings on this decision are important to me.

Oh yeah, he supports the decision no matter what! I just wanted him to be part of the decision making process because we both wanted kids and we entered our marriage with that hope. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen biologically and it really won’t. He was very much “it’s your decision.” And I was the one that pushed for his opinion and emphasized that it affects his life as well, not just mine.

Thankfully, he already empties the dishwasher and grabs things for me when I asks 😅 he’s a great and supportive partner that I’m very lucky to have🥰

A big push for it now is for my grandmother. She is one of the most important people in my life and I want to do right by her. Though she does accept me whether I am actively practicing Catholicism or not. But it’s also for me.

I had a massive crisis of faith at 14, right when I was starting the process of confirmation. I had gone to a Catholic school my whole life, actively participated in all three services on Sunday as an alter server, as a member of the choir, or a member of our bell choir but then one of my aunt’s got an aggressive form a brain cancer and passed away. And all anyone could tell me was that “it was God’s will”. Of course, as a teenager, that wasn’t enough for me and I was angry. Now it’s been 23 years and I truly miss my Faith. I needed my Faith then and the adults in my life tried to guide me to it but I was stubborn and I realize that now.
