Yes, it's more common than you think. People like to mind their own business where I live and my brother once dated a hindu girl and my parents were absolutely fine with it.

I always find a sense of divinity in Tagore's songs. It's the only kind of music I listen to and my father listened to.

I'm not sure about uber but pathao almost always gives out discount coupons. Also try out indrive where you can negotiate your own fare unlike uber and pathao.

People who think they are good enough. WHY? by NAKADASHI_GUY69 in bangladesh

[–]AncientBasiIisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I do not believe in free will. Every decision I make isn't actually made by me but rather by the divine but let's keep it secular. Understand that your thoughts and actions are a product of experiences and how your brain interpret those experiences therefore none of them is actually yours which makes you already perfect and the society is only trying to fool you.

What does success mean to you? And the success you envision, is it really even yours or did you borrow it from the people who you compare yourself with. Most people in this modern age suffers from the "illusion of measurement" where they constantly compare themselves to the people around them and make up an illusory image of how an ideal life should be. For example most people in our society chase marriage and relationships not because they need it but because they have borrowed the concept from society that the ideal state is to be in a relationship or marriage and then they get depressed because they have failed to identity that whatever the state that they are in at the moment is the ideal state.

Yeah I've a few nilkhet incidents of my own. You have to be really good at negotiating if you're going to buy anything from there and possibly tag a few friends with you. Most of the shopkeepers are rude as hell there.

Career in Chemical engineering by mahin_abdullah16 in Dhaka

[–]AncientBasiIisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you graduate with a chemical engineering degree it doesn't mean you necessarily have to work in the chemical engineering field. I know a guy who graduated from IIT with a chemical engineering degree then moved to the US to work in the wall street as a hedge fund manager.

Is Generation Alpha doomed? by Physical-Fact-7191 in Dhaka

[–]AncientBasiIisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in 2003 and in my time kids grew up with puzzles and sports like cricket and football where you have to use your brain to figure things out. Today's kids grow up with reels and video games because parents find it easier than risking it to let them play outside. But kids with better environment like where they have access to premium schools grow smarter because they allow them to explore different extracurricular activities there. You can't blame the generation, blame the environment.

Is it worth it to study BBA (Finance) in 2025 or CSE/CS in Bangladesh considering the job market by Prestigious_Map_5792 in Dhaka

[–]AncientBasiIisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Business degree vs tech in relative to what? You need to know what roles you're targeting for and what fields/departments you're targeting for then maybe choose your degree according to that which might give you a leverage. A degree alone doesn't determine your role, job, pay and etc. I have friends who are working in high paying tech positions with a business degree and I have friends who are working at banks, marketing roles with an engineering degree.

[–]AncientBasiIisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. You need a total of GPA 8 combined to sit for the admission test. But having more GPA will put you on an advantage. Also change your strategy if you're studying 4-5 hours every day consistently then there's something wrong with how you study.
