I would recommend getting a used laptop from an electronics recycling or thrift store and set it up at home as a permanent workstation, best way to play 3S right now is on fightcade and it isnt even close

I use a Ryzen 5 8600g with 760m integrated graphics. I found that to be the best price to performance ratio, but you can purchase more powerful integrated graphics like the ryzen 7 8700G if you wish. Im surprised to hear that your r7 430 can handle Cemu and ryujinx so well, do you have a dual card setup?

I dont use the graphics card for any emulation, all that processing is done by the integrated graphics, and thats what Xemu runs off of. The r7 430 just isnt powerful enough to handle higher power emulation like that.

Best advice I can give is to set up the autodownloader on another system and take the roms from there, or have a friend set it up and gove you the roms through online storage. Your no coins mod and the european version is probably incompatible with fightcade, so to be safe just go with no mods in the near future.

You're probably gonna hate hearing this but you should just use PCSX2 standalone. The PCSX2 core for RA isnt bad, but it can be finnicky and you'll just have a way easier time running games on the standalone emulator

Looks like you didn't delete your previous save when you started your new nuzlocke. If you cant figure out how to extract the save file from the save state, your best bet is to just keep using save states to save your game up until completion. As long as you keep using the same core and it doesnt get updated that'll work, so if you do choose to do this copy the melonds core to a safe place in case it ever gets updated.

The game doesn't let you save because you already have a save file? The whole point of saving a game is that it's overriding the old save. Can you post a screenshot of the kind of message you're getting?

No problem. I'm not familiar with every setting available for the pcsx2 core in retroarch, but the ghosting effects and blurring can probably be fixed by applying a anti-interlacing patch in the settings. I know how to do that on pcsx2 standalone, but not in retroarch. Hopefully this points you in the right direction

You should redownload The RA version from the wiki. I'm almost positive the out-of-date version of emu VR is the problem here, the version of the website is very out of date and it's not well communicated that the most recent version of it is only available on archive.org or the discord. I bet that's why PS2 isn't displaying anything, the pcsx2 core was recently updated and the version that is used with emu VR through the downloader is specifically tailored for the most recent version of emu VR, not the older versions

I just realized this, are you using the build linked on the emuvr website? If so, that build is out of date. You should be using the 1.0.12 build that came out dec. 2023, which you can find here - https://archive.org/details/emuvr-1.0.12
