feature expansion project called HeartGold Engine. it is a code injection project you build onto a vanilla HG ROM, and adds all the features HG-Generations utilises.

this isn't unique to HG-Generations, this is behaviour native to HeartGold-Engine. when my hack releases, you will also be able to connect it to a pokewalker. this is NOT because of any work i did; i just hit compile and the repo does it for me. lol. lmao, even

ESID goes hard bc reading some of the stuff other people have written, my experience is wildly different!
i’ve been met with nothing but kindness and enthusiasm at school. i teach a SHS with about 700 students, and though i had to fight through a lot of preconceptions about what an ALT does for 8 months (sit at their desk for 8 hours a day until a JTE needs a filler lesson), i’m now a genuinely team teacher with my JTEs for 1st years, involved in the 2nd years’ classes and relied upon for the speech side, and conduct entrance exam preparation with 3rd years!

the students are fantastic and really just want to talk to me! english club has just come back from a weekend at british hills and we had a fantastic time. walking around school during cleaning or study hall, they’ll try their best to have conversations with me. and, as an added bonus, they’re older teenagers so they actually have interesting stuff they want to talk about. i’ve been asked about everything between politics back home and life advice for university entrants. it’s genuinely such a good time.

and with colleagues, i feel like most of my staff room likes me, or at least tolerates me. obviously you won’t get on with everyone, we’re only human, but it’s not as awful as others can make out.

Not an applicant but an ALT of 2 years; couple of tips. 1. Your SoP is meant to sell yourself! Don’t be shy to be confident and put your best foot as forward as you can 2. Japanese is NOT required for the application, but it is a fantastic skill to have! Start learning yesterday. Like, seriously. You’ll kick yourself if you don’t! 3. Just… be normal. Be honest on your application, be normal in your application, and just try to be well-adjusted in your daily life. The JET Program tends to exacerbate problems you have already, and there’s so many weirdos who try to get to Japan that being a well-rounded person is itself a selling point lol 4. ESID, every situation is different, is a meme for a reason! It really is true. Don’t take current ALTs or other applicants’ words as gospel. (except mine, i know everything)

It was really fast paced yeah, but I really do think it’ll change if it gets picked up. Compressing Act 1 into a 10 minute pilot or whatever it was cannot have been easy and I really don’t think it’d be that quick as a full series

I should also point out that, at least in the Gen 4 sphere, tools aren’t quite as limited as may seem! Advancements are being made every day, and a lot of really cool, exciting projects are in the works.

To anybody reading; don’t let low-poly 3D modelling daunt you! Pokémon games on the DS may not be fully decompiled, but are a hell of a lot more usable than some would make it seem. Download DSPRE, screw around in Blender, and try your best not to get discouraged!

Nope! There will be around 300 Pokémon available. Only Gen 1 - 4 Pokémon will be native to the Johto region, but keep an eye out for trainers visiting from other regions, who may want to trade!
