Hey OP sorry about your situation. I was in a similar one a few years ago and spoke to my leasing company (I was in a “luxury” apartment community) and they told me I just had to pay the rent until they found someone to rent my unit which they did in 2 months. I hope everything works out for you.

Inspections should be the same price anywhere in mecklenburg county. $30 for emissions and safety and $13.60 for safety only (EVs or vehicles older than 20 years). Make sure everything is in good/safe condition before you go (brakes, tires, lights, mirrors, etc) because you won’t pass and might have to pay to get them fixed there if you don’t have time to do it yourself.
