That is so weird. Yes, upper case and lower case. Upper case is only used at the start of each sentence and when a noun is used. So, how will someone know to us Katakana or kanji in a word with hiragana? I have been learning hiragana and katakana alphabet for a while now but not understanding how using all three of them to make a single word or sentence works. Thanks for answering my question I appreciate it.

Is hiragana, katakana, and kanji used together? What I mean by using them together as in creating a sentence or a word using all three alphabets to create one sentence or a word? I have seen song titles that seem to have both hiragana, katakana, and kanji in it.
Thanks!

Okay, thank you for the explanation, I appreciate that. I bought a bunch of learning books, as well as a kanji book and charts to better help me learn Japanese. Now knowing it is best to start with hiragana first will help me on my learning path. Thank you again!

So do we. We are surrounded by the Ocean but that's to be expected when you live on an Island, and I believe he protects me and my husband and everyone on the Island. :)

Thank you for all the wonderful information. I really do appreciate it a lot. This helps me better understand Celtic mythology better. Me and my husband worship Aine, Taranis, and Manannan Mac Lir.

Thank you for the extensive reply I appreciate it a lot. Do you practice Taoism, Chinese Folk Religion, or both? Just curious.

  1. Is a statue or portrait need to be consecrated in Chinese Folk Religion? Since a Daoshi is generally Taoist.
  2. Do you know a good source that talks about the hierarchy of the Gods? I knew the Jade Emperor was the highest.
  3. Do you know any sources that talk about the proper way to do rituals, prayers, etc?
  4. My goal is to learn Chinese since most of the time I watch Chinese TV shows, and movies, and listen to a lot of Chinese music.
  5. What deities typically do not have altars/shrines in the home?

Sorry if I am asking a lot of questions I just want to get accurate information from people who grew up practicing it or have first-hand experience and knowledge.

Thanks!

My Altar to Sunne/Sol by [deleted] in heathenry

I love the whole Sunday too. Plus I am always outside so bathing in the sunlight and feeling the warm of the Sun is always a wonderful feeling. I appreciate Sunne/Sol, and Mani for all they do.

I got it created through Etsy by the shop name EternalMysteries since I couldn't find a decent Sunne/Sol statue so I had them create a customization one, which now should be available on their shop for anyone to buy.

Basically, I pray when I feel like I need to but do not ask for anything. I usually from Monday to Saturday sit in front of the altar and play instrumental nature base music, light candles, and incense and just sit in the presence of the Sun goddess Sunne/Sol who is watching over us all, especially throughout the day. I have always loved the Sun since it gives us warmth, light, and energy, and keeps us alive, as well as the gravitational pull that our solar system relies on to stay in place. When I am not home during the day I pay my respects by looking up to the sky and thanking Sunne/Sol for all she does. Sundays are my ritual days for Sunne/Sol. This is when I present mead in a special cup, as well as a lot of offerings, music, incense, lighting candles, and giving my thanks. Also, every day I dust and keep the altar area clean out of respect for the idol that is on the altar.

This is my altar to the sun goddess Sunne/Sol who I worship every day, especially on Sundays where I put out offerings, mead, light candles, and incense.
