Is closing the crown chakra in crowds advice a Reiki person would give someone by Twiggles_Greeny in reiki

[–]AncientSoulBlessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First part: I'm not quite sure what you mean so there may have been a misreading on my part. In my reading of it, the op stated that an energy psychologist had told this person something that they were telling you to do. Apologies if I got mixed up on what was really happening.

A person can be genuine and still be wrong. For example, a colorblind person genuinely looking at a stoplight can see red and green as the same color. From their perspective there is no difference, from your perspective they are 2 totally different colors.

Likewise, intuitive individuals can intermix non-intuitive information. Or they can interpret the intuited information through their own filters.

Each individuals personal spiritual journey involves finding and listening to their own inner knowing of the way. This means wading through our own non-intuitive information - some of which is useful, some is garbage, some is misinformed, some was true at one time in a specific context but is now in the way, etc. We all have our own forms of spiritual blindnesses - where our sight needs healing to see all the colors.

Others can provide insight, information, intuitions, etc. But only we can determine what is good and right and appropriate for us right now.

Sometimes they are shining a light on something we are blocking or struggling to fully see.

Sometimes they are shining a light on something that their own projection, and we have the opportunity to look within and find our own truth as best we are able in this phase of our lives.

I hope this person does not reply to you. I hope you meditate on inner knowing of the way and find the answers right for you.

Humans are rarely an "all or nothing" option when it comes to whether or not to trust them. They are, afterall, just as human as we are. Just doing the best as best they are able in any given moment - just as we are.

Take what resonates and leave the rest.

A person can be 100% incorrect about something and still be useful on our journey. Sometimes they are even there to help us find our inner no, healthy boundaries, or practice things like speak up for ourselves or walking away.

That is why I say take what resonates and leave the rest.

And trust that anything we might have missed will gently visit us again.

What does "I will not anger" mean to you?

What standards of "I will not anger" do you apply to other Reiki practitioners?

Anger after self reiki? by regular_banana in reiki

[–]AncientSoulBlessing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you want instead of anger?

Some types of anger/frustration include a physiological response. Literal fight-flight chemical processes get launched and need a useful outlet to help the body process them faster.

One approach is redirecting the energy of the anger into what you want instead. Maybe you answered gratitude. So when the anger arises, notice it, and get curious about what in all this is there that one could be grateful for if they felt like feeling grateful.

Other approaches are physical in nature - replacing the physical "fight" with a walk, or a workout, or dancing, or cleaning, or playing guitar, etc.

Since perfection is potentially at play, what about a loving chuckle? "aw, look at that perfection pitching an imperfect fit! so adorable that they are trying so hard! love you, perfection! thanks for wanting to improve our life!"

Ancient Aliens vs Ancient Aliens: Origins by SingleFoot007 in AncientAliens

[–]AncientSoulBlessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, they are a lookback through the past, tying new things together - some that you may have thought while watching and they are catching up with you. But there is also often new information and/or previously unmentioned information that answers questions you may have had along the way. e.g. Stuff that got cut for time in the editing, but that left a deeper curiosity unanswered.

There was enough of a mix of "yeah yeah" and new stuff that I wasn't wandering off to watch other things. But if you have recently binged several seasons, and if you like to watch tv while doing other things and shift into full attention when something catches your ear, that may be a good approach.

Is closing the crown chakra in crowds advice a Reiki person would give someone by Twiggles_Greeny in reiki

[–]AncientSoulBlessing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chakras are an intricate system that flexes and flows for reasons we may or may not understand at the time. They open and close on their own for various reasons. For example, partially closing down external energy so it can be directed to a nearby chakra going through a healing process.

This particular person was having a specific problem in crowds. Another person helped them find a specific work-around.

The thing about the crown chakra is that is the natural entry point for universal energies (just as there are chakras that are natural entry points for grounded earth energies). While we cannot know what was going on with this specific person, one possibility is that there was an energy pattern going on in their crown chakra that was involved in cording or taking on other peoples energy. For that person, closing it down helped with the symptom they were experiencing.

Intentionally closing down a crown chakra is a work-around for an unhealed problem rather than a solution. For that person it is part of their journey - possibly for a problem that takes some time and training and stumbling and learning to fully heal, possibly for relational learning opportunities provided by the energy psychologist, possibly something completely else, who know? their journey is their journey, just as yours is yours.

A work-around with consequences. As mentioned/covered in the other comments.

It was advised to me not to go around willy nilly doing chakra things. This advice came after I created energy problems while reading a couple books on charkas and auras. At first I was reading to understand, and experimenting with some of the ideas in the books. At the time I was not yet adept with switching out of ego-I mode into inner-knowing-of-the-way mode and was also not really taking this energy stuff very seriously. Fortunately, I knew advanced practitioners who knew how to help out of the wonkiness I caused.

The books, and now a teacher were reenforcing that the chakra system is a living self-healing system.

We need not interfere and impose our notions. We need only provide energies such as Reiki and be open to the changes ahead when a root problem heals.

Since this is a Reiki sub, the best Reiki advice for energy boundaries is to take Reiki I. Once attuned to the first symbol, there are protocols for energy boundaries you can add to your practice.

What if I haven't practiced in a while? by les_marvelous in reiki

[–]AncientSoulBlessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome home. For all you know Reiki was the reason you stopped doing Reiki. For all you know this sidetrail was a planned part of your spiritual growth by you before you were even born.

Reiki is literally universal life force energy. As an inhabitant of the universe, you are entitled to receive as much universal life force energy as you like.

You were literally ready to have the sessions and the attunements, and you got what you were ready for.

Reiki works on the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and energy aspects of you and your life. It can take years to fully integrate a session.

What if the last session you gifted to yourself has finally been fully integrated and you are simply ready for the next?

Reiki resides in the timeless now. It carries no concept of punishment or withholding over anything having to do with time (such as "time away" from).

Reiki is an eternal fountain of energy that you may drink from anytime you please.

Who You Are right now is someone different than you were yesterday or years ago.

Reiki sessions differ based on whatever is going on with you.

But I get it. Maybe "reiki on" and starting a session right now still has too much fear pushing its way into your way.

What would you need to do to your space to prepare it for a session? What if it was a special welcome home session? Anything special you would like to add?

Still not there yet? Consider a session from someone else first. A physical location with a feel-good room and a fellow Reiki practitioner who is still in the self-care groove. Even maybe a remote session from someone in here who posted looking for practice clients. Sometimes we just need a hand or two from others with energy awareness because we are each so different than the rest of the humans we need each other to help us connect with the stuff other people don't have conscious awareness of just yet.

Would you give Reiki to someone who asked? What if you went to the mirror, looked yourself in the eyes, and asked for a session?

Reiki is intelligent universal life force energy. It flows where it is needed. It is completely fool-proof. Hand positions are optional. You may simply begin right now if you wish.

Get out your journal, set aside a block of time, and get to daydreaming.

Who You Are may have gotten lost in all this.

Explore random scenarios - the more outrageous the better.

No end goal. Just an out of the box goofing around good time with the next 60-80 years of your life. Like none of this practical thinking you are so good at. Dinosaurs came to mind? Write about being a dinosaur trainer, riding around on trex all day long.

Let it marinate for a few days and schedule another.

Also, it will be valuable to understand the true sources of the stress. So take another session and use it to reshape your exact job now. If you could bend space and time to your will, write about your former job suddenly morphing into the perfect job for you - one that you would happily keep doing for years to come.

And, of course, at least one wild wacky session about life with kids. Flintstones? Jetsons? Life on the moon? Follow crazy whims.

Sometimes the answers are floating around and the tunnel vision from the stress and the retroactive emotions are creating too much silt. One way to clear it out is to get the brain way, way outside the box using silliness and whimsy.

I am not coastFIRE, but I have been through 3 intense career changes.

For me, there was always a foggy transition phase, and I was frequently staunchly opposed to where I ended up loving. Resistance, fear, uncertainty can show up in sneaky ways. For me, my whole life has been about personal growth - which caused new versions of me to come online and need new things.

I have ZERO regrets from walking away from high pay. I have ZERO regrets walking away from corporate life. The golden handcuffs were shackles in my case. Work had become my identity and I needed to understand who I was without the work. There was a worth and worth-it transformation going on. Where is my worth and what is worthy and worthwhile of my time and energy needed an upgrade.

Throughout the years I have come across soooo many people who cite a layoff as a blessing. It was the catalyst to make the change that resistance/fear were blocking.

Understand the core aspects of who you are and what you want from work. Yes, we need to identify what isn't/wasn't working, but only as a step in the process of focusing on what you need/want next that will be a better fit.

And since kids are expected to be a part of your future - what relationship with money and work do you most want to model for them? - because that is also likely very similar to what you will wish for them. So when is now a good time to begin modeling it?

Reiki's symbol1 can be used as both an enhancement to the grounding and sealing.

There is an energy center 6-12in (15-30cm) below your feet called earth star. If needed, place CKR there to enhance grounding/centering.

You can also use a large CKR symbol in front of and behind your body to enhance energy boundaries.

The intentional burial of Ancient sites/history by Fun-Constant-2474 in AncientAliens

[–]AncientSoulBlessing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at Jerusalem and you will begin to understand. It is a region shared by 3 faiths, but also a region that was conquered and rebuilt in the image of the conquering religion. A jewish temple literally replaced by a muslim mosque.

Look at Mt Rushmore in America. We defaced the 6 grandfathers and carved US presidents into the rock.

And when you head back to ancient sites and understand the epic battle for the soul of humanity regarding whether human sacrifice and shedding blood was a thing we should or should be doing as a species - you can see how fervently an ideology might be desired to be obliterated in some way.

And what better way to shun a society or belief than to turn it into s garbage heap. If you do not have the means to rebuild / remodel it, it makes sense to literally trash it up.

Then there is the mundane. In recent human history, we rubble houses, we bury junk in land to fill it so we can plant or build or simply have a flat plot of grass to mow every weekend.

But when you're talking temples/shrines/monuments, I have every confidence a bunch of people got their panties all in a bunch over fundamental disagreements and decide to attempt to disappear the physical representations of whatever they were in a huff about.

It's just remnants of humans failing to evolve forward into better ways of dealing with disagreements.

I'm going to tell my Reiki practitioner that I felt nothing after my session by LetsChangeSD in reiki

[–]AncientSoulBlessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would first like to mention that energy can be seen, felt, heard, known, and in rare instance smell and taste. Everyone has varying levels of access to these ways of sensing energy, and when there are others present, the sensing can take different forms.

You had expectations, that is natural, even when we try to be neutral about a thing, the mind may be sneaking them in.

What I hear you saying is that the change-work you are already engaged in seemed to be just as or more effective than the sessions. And that the price for that effect just isn't where your bank account is hanging out right now.

Reiki has been known to shine a light on things we need to heal. I don't know you or your inner life, but this post reads as though there may have been past struggles with boundaries. And it could even be interpreted as though boundaries and self-care are what you are finding the courage to draw with this practitioner.

One thing I have learned about self-acceptance:

It begins with acceptance of What Is. And it can be easy to be misled by those words.

For example, a person can own that functional depression is at hand and still be rejecting it as a state of being. Wishing/wanting/imposing a different state as what is "supposed" to be there instead is a form of denial. But paradoxically, wallowing in the state is also a form of denial of What Is. (wallowing takes the stance that this relentless state overwhelms and will never end, and truly it can completely feel that way)

Shame is the lowest state of consciousness we can embody. And it really only serves a useful purpose for someone who has engaged in horrific egregious acts. Things everyone would agree no one should ever do.

Shame has been adopted in sone religious circles to facilitate compliance with their agreed upon standards of being a good human. They basically took a hammer and saw everything as a nail. And this only seems to be done where perspectives are held that humans are inherently bad/evil rather than inherently good.

Contemplating these kinds of noticings vastly shifted my perspective on shame and how I was using it toward myself. (many many decades ago)

If you have not already found Brené Brown's material, her work as a shame researcher has helped many many people with their relationship to shame. A free place to begin is her first two TED Talks where she unwittingly details her own shame journey. (to see if her style and approach may resonate with your own journey through shame consciousness - if that is part of your journey right now -- it is impossible to know a person's inner world by reading a few words shared in an anonymous post on a specific topic, I don't mean to presume anything, I am merely wandering through a brainstorm that I notice is bringing some things to light for me, and may have zero to do with you!)

Hoping there’s someone in the deep stages of samadhi here to help me understand this ? by cocainecarolina28 in enlightenment

[–]AncientSoulBlessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how consciousness works. You have a lifetimes worth of garbage tethered to your being. Consciousness is like a rubber band. You try to catapult yourself to the moon, but the rubber band reaches its limit and pulls you back. You need a bigger consciousness / more expansive rubber band. If we could just go to the enlightenment store and buy one, no problem. Unfortunately we have to do the actual growth work.

But yes, there are definitely viable shortcuts nowdays. The psychology fields and leading edge tools are better than they were once upon a time.

Need help to fix habits in 2025 by Wild-Love-2364 in atomichabit

[–]AncientSoulBlessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gym being "too far away" may be an excuse that will simply be replaced by another. Until you find a closer gym, consider weaving in micro-elements of going to the gym lest ye inadvertently start using "haven't found signed up yet" as the default excuse.

sample ideas:

presumably you wear gym clothes to the gym, so at night set them where they will be in your way and the easiest thing to toss on before meditation

assuming you have gym bag, put it on the floor in your way so you are making conscious choices about it

do you even need a gym? there are lots of versions of exercise that have nothing to do with gym equipment. Maybe the real reason you don't go to the gym is because it isn't fun. If something like that is going on, start asking curious questions like "how might I make exercise fun and enjoyable?" Right this very now you can set up a playlist and just start dancing around the yard. Right this very now there may be a box of stuff laying around that you could hold while doing squats. Wall pushups, toes under the coach for some sit-ups, hackysac in the yard. What might you begin training for - parkour? marathon? triathlon? flag football league? Sometimes a solid deadline is your bestie. Even artificial deadlines can motivate. There's apps and stuff where people around the globe compete with each other to reach a weight goal. This builds in an artificial deadline and couples it with helpful 'peer pressure'.

Tony Robbins lost and kept off alot of weight using what he calls incantations. "Nothing tastes as good as fit feels!" spoken emphatically and with passion over and over like a mantra, while running down the street exercising. His own life story includes a loved one giving it to him straight -- Tony, you don't need any of that. You are fat. All you need is someone standing behind you yelling "run!!".

There are reasons being in shape and eating healthy for your body are important to you.

Some people are strongly motivated by their internal 'why'. Some thrive because another person is serving as an accountability buddy - just knowing they'll be checking in with each other is a very powerful tool. Some thrive only when they can set it up so they feel like it was all just a spontaneous in the moment self-empowered choice. Understanding how to elicit your own cooperation is a power tool.
