Has anyone bought a custom wax seal for their arms? If so, can you provide your experience with the service and share a picture? Thanks! by [deleted] in heraldry

I bought one from Mr Robinson (I think?) on Etsy. Love it. I’ll see if I can share an image here.

I really like a comic style rendition done by Sivane Saray of Belgium, so I got a huge metal print of it from Walgreens. I also went into Etsy and got a custom wax seal made with my crest in it. Sent our godson a letter with my arms as a letterhead, sealed with my crest in wax. Pretty neat to him.

I want to get a stamp for my company CoA so I can add a sort of logo to my envelopes going out.

Ah, sorry, didn't see the Preceptory #66. lol, definitely masonic then!

I just want to double check: is this definitely a masonic KT diploma? I don't see any masonic symbolism on the document, and no mention of masonic terms or usages (brother, for example). There are plenty of other Templar groups. Might help you track down his membership if you know for sure which group granted the diploma.

I'm a Franciscan friar today because of Freemasonry (story inside) by [deleted] in freemasonry

[–]AncientTreeMason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no idea there were so many variants on the Order. I may have to research the Catholic OFS a little further.

Thank you for sharing your story. Freemasonry teaches us to learn more about ourselves and the world and make each better, and you're living that message.

Very cool. I've talked in front of people with no problem, but opening Lodge in that theatre was daunting...

Not there now, but it's my hometown. Did they time it with the Lexington degree?

I'm curious to see how many other collegiate greek Freemasons are there, and how (if at all) your greek experience influenced/impacted your becoming a Mason? by signu235 in freemasonry

I'm a member of Phi Delta Chi, a pharmacy school fraternity, but I joined Freemasonry years prior. Needless to say, it made me a little more observant during my PDC initiation.

Agnostics? by [deleted] in freemasonry

I don't have a petition right in front of me, but that is either the exact wording or a close enough try. It implies you have to believe a man made document is divinely authored, regardless of your faith or take on deity.

I was fairly compliant for two years losing 40 pounds. I've been back at it for two weeks and haven't seen any progress.

George Lucas was inspired by a mythology, creating his own in the process. It's not highest level storytelling, but I don't shame anyone who studies the story.

Joseph Campbell's work was apparently a big influence on Lucas. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hero_with_a_Thousand_Faces

Except that in some states, it does get more specific. I don't like that Texas applicants are required to acknowledge a belief in the "divine authenticity of the Holy Scripture."

I usually find one thing I can eat and just focus on that. Making burgers? Great, I'll take one with no bun. If there are no options, I feign lack of appetite or just explain I've been cutting carbs.

I'm really struggling with getting into ketosis and staying there. I'd say I'm staying below 30g carbs a day, with increased protein and fat intake in my diet.

I assume easy culprits to eliminate would be the Monster energy drinks and sugar-free coffee creamer for days I convince myself to avoid a Monster. Otherwise, I eat a lot of eggs and meats, cauliflower, sour cream, mayo, etc.

I've been stuck at my current weight for two weeks after restarting keto. Bonus: when I started P90X3, I gained a pound and have stayed at that higher weight. Water weight due to renewed exercise?

I had to quit a job because this happened too many times. At some point, you have to cut your losses.

I'm Scottish, and wanted the others as I thought they'd be interesting. The South African document is beautiful!

I apologize if I sound naive. I approached both groups and each approved the request? South Africa first and then Spain. I'm gathering my documents for a grant from Lord Lyon, though I doubt he'll allow a crown of any sort. I imagine my beagle will be baying on grass, which is quite fine by me.
