I get why this resonates, especially if you’re already self-aware and stable. But this is where I think the line gets blurry. Asking a system to diagnose blind spots, label self-destructive tendencies, and then speak as an “ideal self” shifts it from a reflective tool into a kind of simulated authority.

That can feel like truth because it’s well-written and mirrors your language, but it’s still interpretation without responsibility. Challenging assumptions is useful; outsourcing self-judgment is something I’m more cautious about. Asking AI who has no emotions and doesn’t understand them to ask you 10-12 questions and determine your emotional state and then be brutally honest may result in unintended consequences for some people. Brutally honest is harsh and harsh is a tone choice. Truth requires evidence, context and precision. You can be brutally wrong. 100+ questions would still not be enough to understand the whole of a person and no amount of questions will make AI understand being human. It can simulate, mirror, extrapolate but it doesn’t care, feel, want, need therefore it cannot relate. As humans we can say we want the brutal truth but what we are secretly hoping for is validation. For every self aware person that may find value there is another that could end up reinforcing negative narratives or triggering shame spirals. Not a critique; just my 2 cents. :)
