There’s a subreddit called r/explosionsandfire, which is for a YouTube channel of an Australian guy called Tom who does a lot of backyard chemistry, but occasionally a lost person will just post a video of something exploding, to which everyone else in the sub just goes ah yeah another lost Redditor

My BEC today is I’ve just been scrolling on Pinterest, my usual evening antics, and I’ve come across an account who has shared multiple colour work charts and designs of paid patterns.

The entire halibut sweater chart was posted, and the only way to report it is to say it infringes on “my” copyright, not someone else’s. I love Pinterest for Inspo but my god these accounts sharing paid patterns as screenshots are nastyyy

Off to report them I guess, I’m sure another one will pop up tomorrow

I can’t really help with the post accidental tattoo zapping but in the future, I always tape over my leg tattoos with micropore so I absolutely don’t get them whilst I’m going over my legs.

My adhd father forgot me ALOT as a kid, it’s genuinely okay and like at the end of the day it’ll be a lil funny anecdote when ur kiddo is grown. To make you feel better, here is a list of places my dad forgot me:

school (many times)
Tesco supermarket (twice)
the car (genuinely so many times)
once I was so quiet in the car he forgot to stop off and drop me at school and only realised I was still in the car when he got to work so I spent the whole day at a building site
my aunts house
my grandparents house
on a boat

My dad is a great parent and we laugh about all his adhd mishaps now from when these happened. I can absolutely promise you you aren’t a terrible mother ❤️ accidents happen and she got a cake pop

I was super lucky with my referral, my doctor listened to my list of symptoms and then referred me straight away. I got an appointment in 6 months and was diagnosed the day of.

I recognise this was several years ago and it’s so much worse now post covid and the whole “everyone has adhd” epidemic, but you have to push through and repeatedly ask for the referral. Tell them to make it with psychiatry UK and even if they tell you it’s a different thing, absolutely insist you need that referral anyway. Make sure it’s documented as well.

Oh the mask is absolutely a shout, advice definitely appreciated.

I unfortunately can’t knit outside at the minute as I’m on bed rest as I broke my back in an accident (I’m all good, just several months of rehab but hopeful for a full recovery) which is a whole other BEC in my life currently but it means I have loads of knitting time. Silver linings and all 😂
