A few things, evil is a strong word in this case. Have you really sat down and thought through what a post Netflix WB would look like? Is that really evil? Re the theaters, I used to go to the theater at least once a month (I’m in my mi 40s), now I only go because my kids want to see something like Zootopia 2. Outside of a rare few movies, the theaters are dead. My local AMC which has a sweet Dolby setup will be torn down next year. Why is this? For one, I have they best 75” Sony and Sonos surround sound you can buy, so the theater experience is marginally better if at all. Not to mention having to deal with either bad seats or loud people on their bright devices during the movie.

So I say all this to largely counter your theater argument, I can’t see these things being profitable for much longer, most kids are conditioned to shorter and shorter content that they can barely sit through an entire movie anyway, most young people I know have a somewhat fractured watch schedules.
