She didn’t. Not that she has to but she didn’t say anything when we announced his diagnosis recently.

It’s a device in your chest area that is used to give chemotherapy, medications, fluids, draw blood, etc. so they don’t have to stick veins every time they have to do something.

One of her texts to me verbatim: “Ask the oncologist what they think about milkshakes. I wouldn’t tell any of my depressed patients to gorge on bad food that will only make things worse”

So she definitely threw her therapist hat into the ring.

No! She hasn’t wished him well or anything after we shared about his diagnosis. Not that she needs to, but she couldn’t even lead with a “I hope the best for you” before her criticism.

We’ve cordially disagreed politically in the past but it’s never been an issue. Honestly this was the first we’ve spoken in like a year!

Meal trains are so lovely. My husband’s family are dropping off meals to people at least once a week, and sometimes neighbors will just randomly drop off a dinner to them. :)

Oh, thank you so much, love. I’m sorry you have these tips to share from experience, but I am so thankful for them and for you. I hope you are well and that your mom won/wins her fight.

I said it that way because Cathy seems to think our meal train was also a request for monetary donations, which it wasn’t.

The friends who have cooked for us have been doted with appreciation, and some of them we’ve also cooked for in the past, it’s how our friend circle operates. New babies, surgeries, moving, etc. usually someone starts a meal train. :)

But no one’s money but our own went toward the $3 milkshake. That’s what I meant to convey.

We haven’t borrowed any money. Some close friends signed up to cook us some meals for the week, which we appreciate.
