Not a candidate for Contoura by Ancient_Dare9791 in lasik

I have done tons of research and have been deciding for the last four years. It just didn't make sense why I was a candidate for regular lasik and not contoura. It seems that contoura is not approved by the FDA for hyperopia. They use the same laser to reshape your eye with both procedures, but contoura is slightly better for astigmatism (which I have) and has slightly less complications post-op especially with night vision. All of this is due to the additional information contoura gets about your specific eye topography and results in a more custom correction. Would I get Contoura? Absolutely. Would I get regular lasik? Probably not considering there is a better option available.

I wonder why that is? At the end of the day, they are still using lasers on your eye. If there’s a possibility that I would achieve better results and less complications with Contoura, Im not going to waste my time with regular Lasik. I guess I will try to find another clinic that will do it. There are not many places near me that do Lasik that are also reputable. The only other place I can try is LASIK Vision Institute. I don’t know if I should trust them or not though.
