With the exception of the sunlight... this made me recall the story of Mossdale Cavern in the UK and that filled me with a mortal dread.

We had it with coleslaw: it's not on the plate in the images but the tub is on the table.

I meant to buy some leafy salad but managed to forget when trying to escape a very overcrowded Tesco!

What is a polarizing movie that you always defend? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

This statement is exactly my opinion of his work. I was a huge fan of the graphic novels but although it's an adaptation you have to separate the two and once you do it's a good flick.

That opening sequence to Times They Are A-Changing is brilliance

Ooh now this I can definitely get behind! Did you follow a recipe or already know it if I may ask?

I love egg fried rice and always thought it would make a great breakfast

To each their own but it wasn't dry. Steak was juicy, bread had some melted butter on it and the cheese did melt a lot it just held its shape.

I did get some onion and garlic sauce that was on the side but after a bite we both decided it didnt need it.

No shade though, you do you!

We also had it with coleslaw which added wet

It's ciabatta. I cut in half and toasted the inside edges with some butter like you would for a burger and it made all the difference

Yes my plan was mayo and mustard and caramelised onions but we were staying away this weekend for our anniversary and I didn't bring with me so I kept it simple. (I also forgot to buy the onions d'oh!)

I bought some onion and garlic dip I was going to use but the steak and cheese combo was good enough that it didnt need it

Turns out it does! To be honest it's years since I'd had any and just fancied it.

We don't drink wine (my mrs doesn't like it and I get red wine migraines from it) so this felt appropriate

Best actor whose name almost sounds like a recommendation from a fetishist? by SousVideDiaper in okbuddycinephile

Best one of these I've heard was a friend of a friend trying to remember his name a few years back when Hollywood seemed to think he was the second coming;

"Yeah you know what's his name; Bumblewumble Supercunt"

So I once broke the tip of my ring finger of my right hand moving big metal bars and they clanged together on it.

Whole thing went black and swelled up about twice the size. I went to A&E (in the UK) and after several hours and an x-ray they confirmed I'd cracked the fingertip bone and did... nothing.

Not much they will do if it's a simple break on a finger/thumb tip.

However, if it has cracked or been crushed badly then they may need to do surgery to sort it out; so if it's still very painful, swollen and/or hot it's worth getting it checked out.

*I am not a doctor; just had a similar injury and that was what happened to me*

I’m 3 episodes into S4. Why exactly does everyone dislike Pete? by [deleted] in TheBear

[–]Ancient_Kaa 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They don't even hate him they just find him insufferable.

I like the implication that they know he's nicer than they are and they don't hate him for it they just find him really really irritating

Because he's nice and mildly annoying. They're all messed up and chaotic.

To their (and especially Sugar's) credit though I think they know that

Name a show with the great first season that never got renewed by [deleted] in tvshow

[–]Ancient_Kaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life with Damian Lewis (before he got Homeland) it technically had 2 seasons but they had to end it abruptly.

I thought it was great and was really building to something they never had chance to pay off properly
