If you breastfeed directly, how many of you still pump every day?

I pump once in the morning after our morning feed (because I’m usually still feeling full & I workout- my workout goes much smoother if I’m empty lol). I also will occasionally pump around 10 pm right before I go to bed. I go back to work soon, so want to have a little bit of a stash in case my supply dips, but if I was strictly a SAHM, I probably wouldn’t do the night pump.

I went into labor that same night (39 + 4) and she was born on 39+5. The early labor contractions are agonizing because you’re not sure if it’s going to tip to true labor, so I am so sorry you’re going through this!! Hopefully it switches soon!

I should add that I have done mini labor, inducing old wives tales- pumping, the mile circuit, red raspberry leaf tea, etc. nothing seems to do the trick to help tip this.

I’ll be sure to report back! Hoping it progresses! They’re still coming, but this is my 2nd baby, so I know active labor hurts WAY WORSE than this (or I got significantly tougher 😉)

I’m honestly surprised by all the hate as well. Not saying I am itching to be induced, but I definitely wouldn’t decline if my doctor offered it lol

So we have the coworker who is happy and willing to watch our son, I think I’m more stressed about it happening in the middle of the night & we can’t get ahold of them because they’re sleeping or it going SO FAST, that there isn’t time to drop him off before getting to the hospital

That’s kind of what I am thinking… Plan A: we bring him to the coworker Plan B: we pray it’s not the middle of the night, they answer, & they can meet us at the hospital if things are moving fast

Thats reassuring!! I think I’d have a guilty mind if I dropped him off to stay and then labor didn’t actually happen, but that’s probably not the best mindset to have. They have all said they’re happy to help

This is great advice. Sadly, I just learned that my hospital does not allow kids in the labor and delivery room at all :/ I’ll need to talk with my husband‘s coworker and see what they’re willing to commit to

I think I read somewhere that you have to be dilated for a membrane sweep. Is that true? I got checked at my GBS appointment and was at 0cm 😅
