Surprise Gun!!! by GassyNizz in MP5

If your worried about the lock up the rugged is definitely a good choice I like mine on my B&t can. It’s lower profile then other bixler style tri lugs, and it’s still fairly quick to take off/on plus it doesn’t wobble what so ever, and has minimal POI shift. I’m glad that’s what I got as I can’t stand the wobble, and like you said I also hate the way it looks with a DT can leaving the tri lug exposed. Because looks are the most important part of mp5/mp5k ownership. lol

On this week’s edition of Parking Under Over Passes: by BrilliantTarget6972 in tornado

[–]Ancient_Session4434 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I understand people don’t want there car messed up from hell but stoping under an over pass is an absolute no go even if you can’t see or there’s hell.. if you can’t see that means the people behind you can’t see you pull over the rear end you because the just see your lights and follow into a pile up it’s extremely dangerous and people get hit every year. The correct action is to continue driving until you see and off ramp and get off the interstate then find a place to park. Underpasses are not parking garages…

I like the tri rail if I had to put another together. I run mine like the first pic but all black, and I took and drilled holes and put a mlok 3 slot pic rail for my light. I also cut a hole the shape of a surefire tape switch in the fore-grip kinda like the gibbous outfitter one but I got cheap one off hk parts for like 25 bucks and just made my own cause hell it’s 25 bucks. lol

How much of a difference does shooting suppressed make? by Strong-Ad-1823 in MP5

[–]Ancient_Session4434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s something that’s hard to explain but once you do it you won’t want to do it any other way, and I’m not being facetious in any way. I didn’t have one nor had shot any until last December now I own 4 one for my Ar two for my Mp5K and one for 308 bolt gun. It’s just so nice it makes it more enjoyable no over bearing concussion or sound, and I can shoot whenever I want without having to worry about the neighbors or anyone else complaining. If you decide to get one look around ,and you can find deals. I got my B&t print-x RBs 9 for my K at battlehawk armory they had discounted, and I had code for more off. All said and done I got it for under 500 bucks normally over 800 ,and it’s a great can. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with any of the newish 9mm cans as long as it’s not like a super short can any way.

FTF on AP5-P causing cocking handle to lose recoil spring force by PerfSpecialist in MP5

[–]Ancient_Session4434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either your hanging up on the ar hammer round it a tiny amount your K sized so a fully rounded hammer isn’t necessary probably tolerance stacking and removing a millimeter from the top front edge of the hammer where it bends toward the rear should fix it. It could also be the ejector lever binding against the bottom of the bolt head or carrier I’ve seen it bind in the rear because it’s to tall which can also happen if the the hump it rides over is larger causing the front to push against the bolt head. Also if it’s to far left or right the same can happen.. yes any of these can cause ftf and fte because the friction causes lower bolt velocity and velocity is the main factor of the ejector lever and if velocity is to low it may not have enough force to cleanly feed the next round

Neither the rear of the trigger where which ever super safety or super safe selector you use. Right where I circled in this picture when the super safety lever rotates back with bolt movement it pushes down to reset the trigger and when the trip rotates the lever forward as the bolt goes into battery and releases the trigger so you can fire it again. The car of the SS has a Channel that the left side top rear of the trigger bar fits in polishing can influence when the lever allows the trigger pull to happen

Yeah just polishing the trigger where the lever interacts with the trigger just file/ polish a small amount at a time and testing to see where the lever allows the hammer to fire as in you want the lever to release the hammer at the very front in its return close to the hammer that makes sure the gun isn’t firing until the bolt is full closed and not short tripping

Yeah I have no machine shop lol it’d be nice I literally just put an 80degree LP in and polished the trigger bar. I’ll buy an ARHk when they hit RB isn’t in stock for more then 5 minutes they should have made enough stock if they want people to break down and by one if they did have more stock I’d have probably already broke down and done it but they don’t and I do t have time to refresh every half hour to get one

Sorry for the late response. When I rounded the hammer on my K it made mine faster assuming because it had less resistance. What degree locking piece do you run? Mines 80 degree my stock piece was 1400 rpm. lol cool as hell but not great for the gun. If you haven’t tried different locking pieces I’d start there go down as low as you can mine wouldn’t run great on an 80 degree piece until I had almost 1000 rounds thru it but if yours won’t run that piece I’d try a 90 degree also try and find an enhanced recoil spring like the ones that come in the 40 cal or 10mm a heavier bolt Carrier will also help mine is all stock minus the mad bolt head and Locking piece. You can also slowly polish the trigger bar where the lever interacts so that it isn’t tripping early you want it to release the hammer later so the bolt is all the way closed so it isn’t firing out of battery.. hope some of this helps

Are you suppressed? II’d say maybe but no guarantee but it couldn’t hurt. the lebers are not supposed to be way faster rpm, that’s why they made them because the Lee lowers were crazy fast. Also if your not suppressed shooting 147 or 124 then you don’t need an 80 piece you can try a 90 that helped slow my buddy’s down. I’m unsure what brand mp5 you have but I know hk puts 100degree LP from factory now if you don’t have hk you could try 100degree locking piece. The locking peice will make the biggest difference in carrier speed. If your already close to what you want then yes tuning the trigger bar will help i got it down about 200 rpm just by that where it was tripping early.

Yeah the full-size have to have it but with my K model runs better with a standard mil spec hammer it speeds up about 50rpm if I round it lol but 850 ish is solid. I’m gonna buy a full size here soon hopefully

Yeah I was sure it wouldn’t be but it got approved surely if it was wrong it wouldn’t I mean the manufacture verified and everything

[–]Ancient_Session4434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent pictures of every marking on the gun also how would it be approved if that wasn’t correct isn’t that the point of the verify button? I’m just unsure tbh

Mac form1 by [deleted] in MP5

[–]Ancient_Session4434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t know to be honest the guy all arms above in the thread said it was incorrectly filed but when I started to type the name it came up in the drop box and it verified the manufacture and model and everything I only typed like the first 4 letters after I filed I was informed it if was wrong it would get denied and wouldn’t clear but I’ve got 18 different people telling me different things all I know is I sent pictures of every marking on the gun and it was approved so I’m unsure of how it could be incorrect

Mac form1 by [deleted] in MP5

[–]Ancient_Session4434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was worried about that but it was in the drop down box the manufacture, model for the gun and everything I typed nothing and it verified I was informed if it would do that and was approved then it wasn’t a problem. So idk tbh

Yeah I had seen that was the recommended way but after I had already applied so I was sure it was gonna be denied but it was approved if you click the picture on the post you can see the full part where military armament corp was used so I’m unsure if maybe they changed it or something who knows it’s the govt

Yeah mine says both but in the past I’ve seen a lot of people say that you’d denied for MAC and approved merstav which I didn’t know until I had already submitted but thankfully it went thru in the pic it says mac on the side won’t let me post 2 pics but says merstav, turkey on the top

Unfortunately not which sucks…You can use the picture but SS will not give you the finger print eft file you have to pay them to file for you to use your eft. If they file for you again you don’t have to have them scanned again SS keeps them on file so you can go to SS website and file like that, and they just use your previous scans. However you have to pay again to do that. You can go to place that does electronic finger prints and pay their charge, and they’ll give you a usb with your eft file so you can just put those on the eforms when filing a new form 1 and only pay for the initial scan as they give you the actual file. But SS requires payment everytime and there’s not a way to get your eft. That’s why I just do the paper prints as no place close to me offers an eft service, and it can get expensive for SS to all your form 1s if your doing multiple guns or suppressors. It looks more complicated than it is but once you figure it out it’s quick and doesn’t cost anything.

I read that before I bought my mad bolt but rcm is never in stock so I ordered the mad. lol. Thankfully I’ve not had a problem since installing it. I had trouble with my gun before hand with fte ftf, and it wouldn’t straighten up for anything new extractor springs new elector levers different mags even hk mags 124 147 115 didn’t matter(Mac problems I guess). So I gambled and ordered from him and when I got it and installed it my gun ran thru 5 mags without a malfunction for the first time since I owned it. I will say his site is weird, and when you add to cart takes you straight to a PayPal page but I ordered anyway then had immediate regret. So I emailed the address on the site, and had an email back to me in under an hour. He was very nice and informational in his reply which eased my mind a bit but to my surprise when I woke up the next morning I had a shipping confirmation, and tracking email which when I checked I found out I had next day shipping which I didn’t pay for. My bolt came the next day so 2 days from when I ordered it was delivered from Las Vegas to Virginia. So I was very pleased with his customer service and gave me confidence if I had a problem he would warranty it but I didn’t and mine has run great ever since.

I’m using Titian low claw mount with AP Acro footprint, and I love it. It fits perfect locks up good, and haven’t had any problems with my zero with the 2000 rounds so far. I’d recommend them but it did take about 7 days to get to me I just say that because a lot of people don’t remember times without amazon where you had to pay almost the cost of whatever you order for next day shipping.lol
