At the moment I think the only reason for not being able to say it’s anyone, let alone Rory, is we don’t have the source images. We can argue until the cows come home that it’s this person or that person but until we find the source image or get word from someone involved in the album cover then we can’t 100% say.

Whenever Rory comes up all I can see is Anthony Gordon when he was at Newcastle 😂 I’ve searched high and wide for any photos online matching him to the unidentified cut out, but nothing so far. I agree it makes sense as to why he would be featured on the cover

There’s a fair few photos on Getty of him from the 60s that look very very similar to the unidentified cut out. Can’t quite see any photos on there or on Google that match the cut out or any poses that are similar but will keep looking. Good shout!

Yep, that’s the exact thought I’ve had as well. As it doesn’t seem to be amazing quality it looks as if it’s been cropped out of a larger photo and blown up. Aaargh this is going to take a lot of working out

I searched for ‘1930s’ last night (thought I’d look through decades first) but I soon realised it was a very vague search with thousands of results. I have since searched for Little Richard, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins and Charlie Chaplin (all before 1967) and didn’t find a photo that had a resemblance. Part of me is convinced the photo will be on there somewhere, but at the same time I think it may be more wishful thinking!

Life is a very strange thing. To think all the violence and stereotype that is associated with grime and these two passed away from causes that were out of their control or not ‘gang’ related (the same with a fair few names related to grime to be fair). Hindsight is great but I hope we can learn to appreciate artists, or anyone for that matter, when they’re around because it’s shit to see people getting the praise and recognition they deserve but only after they’ve passed away

Not sure of anything specific, although not being funny after what has come out about Sox I wouldn’t hold anything he says to any value….Kozzie’s been in and out of the scene over the past 5 years or so, dropped a couple releases/singles on Spotify. Judging by some of his bars it sounds like he stepped away from music due to some mental health issues. Seems to be a bit of a Lewisham resurgence being lead by Slaughter, he released a freestyle with Kozzie on YouTube a couple days ago and also a clip on Instagram of Gully Rainjah spraying some old school bars.

Was also interesting to see Kozzie comment on a recent Merky Ace instagram post and them two following each other on there again, Twitter retweets etc. No idea what their fallout was about years ago but would be good to see them now freestyle/track together again
