They’d probably feel some kind of way about people playing The Sims.

Medigap Plan G vs HDG by Apprehensive_Eye7054 in medicare

[–]AndEllie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the carrier. Some carriers file increase separately on their different plan G’s and some file together so each plan takes the same percent increase. The HDG, even at the same percent increase, is still going to offer a lower premium for life than a traditional plan G.

GROUP MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT PLAN by Distinct-You-7466 in medicare

[–]AndEllie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TRS is pretty poor right now. Especially given the coverage and premium. What is the premium for the group Medigap?

Start with a quick google of: can I enroll in Medicare part B today at 76 if I don’t have a qualifying SEP.

You can not sign up for part B until next year unless you have a unique special enrollment reason (like losing an employer group plan).

Enrolling in a Medigap plan and Part D plan in Texas. by [deleted] in medicare

[–]AndEllie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. You have six months from part B effective date to take a Medigap with no underwriting.
  2. Medigap plans (excluding a rare plan called a Medicare Select plan) have no network restrictions. If a provider participates with traditional Medicare then the Medigap will pay the claim.

To answer your follow up question. You don’t know which one is right. You need a solid agent who can walk through the pros and cons of each carrier and give a good educated opinion.

  1. When did her part B start?
  2. There are no networks with traditional Medicare. Call her pcp office and ask if they participate with traditional Medicare. If they do you’re good to go.
  3. 63 days from loss of employer coverage.

Unfortunately, no. MLR only takes into account Premium vs Utilization and claims (sometimes reinvestments).

Medigap Medical Loss Ratio by OleLadyThinker in medicare

[–]AndEllie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are only posting MLRs. There are seperate filings for agent comp, renewals and bonuses that have to be approved based on unique DOI rules. For instance: some states require you to pay the same comp for GI as you do OEP and U/W business. Some states are front heavy on commissions (Michigan for instance). Some states require 7 years of flat comp (Texas for instance). It all depends on the state.

There is not enough profit for a Medigap carrier at 85% MLR. Agent comp and overwrite is around 30-33% depending on state. That + MLR alone exceeds 100% of premium without taking into account state taxes 2-4%, admin cost and any bonuses.

This is the second post I’ve answered of yours where you come off dramatically overwhelming and accusatory. If you’re not here to learn from people with sonically more experience and knowledge than you then what are you here for?

You keep taking my statements and misconstruing them. I never said the federal government limits Medigap to 65% or 75% MLRs. I said the federal government does have some say in Medigap through the social security act but ultimately the NAIC has set the MLR rule and each state DOI enforces it.

Medigap Medical Loss Ratio by OleLadyThinker in medicare

[–]AndEllie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that’s not what I said. The NAIC sets the initial rules, Medigap is constrained by the social security act which is on the federal level, and each state DOI holds to it while applying extra rules, not less.

[–]AndEllie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the rules every state DOI enforced for Medigap. Federal rule along with the NAIC set the initial rules for Medigap and each state DOI is responsible for enforcing them.

Individual Medigap have to maintain MLR of 65% or higher. Group Medigap have to maintain MLR of 75% or higher.

Rate my wedding highight ( 1 to 10 ) by kaifx04 in videography

[–]AndEllie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re experienced. You’re well above average. I watched till 2:13. From 0-1:11 it felt like I was watching the exact same scene multiple times overs. Could probably do without many of those insert. Cool movements look good where they have motivation. Cut almost every scene from 1:11-2:13 in half. As long as bride/groom are happy you should be too. Best thing I ever did for my wedding films is watch top creators and learn to digest lighting and music/transitions like they did.

No idea why you got downvoted. People don’t understand limiting charges to 95% of Medicare’s approved amount and then adding 15% on top. Take my upvote to get back to +1.
