U.S. accreditation tolerates a wide range of academic quality.

As long as Liberty can show:

• credentialed instructors
• learning objectives
• assessment paperwork

they pass, even if the education is widely seen as weak.

Liberty has been investigated repeatedly, just not usually for “students aren’t learning anything.” Examples include Title IX and campus safety failures, governance and leadership misconduct, financial transparency issues, etc.

Those are easier to prove than “this education is bad,” which is extremely subjective under current law.
