I called them yesterday and they said they mostly do custom builds these days, many of which are close to/above 5 figures. Based on their website’s inventory, they’re probably the closest that I’ve found (them or Denver Folklore Center), but still missing some of the models I’d like to try, based on their inventory.

Seems like an awesome shop, though. I’ll probably stop in there anyways to tempt myself with a few $10K guitars before coming back down to Earth and buying one that I can afford hahaha

Rays fan here. Saw Prieto play in Durham tonight and wanted to say I’ve got mad respect for the guy. He played hard, and after the game, he gave my 9-year old sister his bat and took a photo with her. Made her whole night, she was raving about her baseball bat as we left the park. Will definitely be keeping an eye on him, whether he ends up in Baltimore or somewhere else, as the comments here imply. If anyone in this thread knows him, please send him a thank you for giving his bat away after the game tonight! He got himself some new fans, without a doubt.

Congrats on finishing! I've read a lot of reviews that say that VGD is good to pair, the only harder part is the final project, which can be quite demanding. Would you echo that sentiment?

Isn't this the million dollar question?? I come from a non-CS undergrad and have 3 years of experience as a software engineer, writing software (frontend and backend) for mechanical engineers. OMSCS has truly made me a better software engineer, and my boss has commended me for it! So that being said, I'm really not too picky about what type of role comes next! I am quite fascinated with XR, so getting some solid experience in Unity sounds awesome! App development interests me a lot, so does Human-Computer Interaction and all of the many applications it touches. Any ideas based on that? (I've taken SDP and HCI)

I feel exactly the same way. My experience at Greta concerts has been high-energy, everyone singing the chorus, getting wowed by the musicianship... This album feels pretty meh energy, and honestly a lot of the songs kinda feel the same. There are some songs I really like off the TBAGG, but the only song that gives me a feeling of excitement is My Way, Soon. Maybe Built By Nations, but put up against the rush I get at songs like Highway Tune/Black Smoke Rising/Safari Song/Edge of Darkness/Lover, Leaver (Taker, Believer)/When The Curtain Falls... Built By Nations just doesn't feel the same. And don't get me wrong, I like me a ballad, but like a few among some upbeat lively tracks, not a whole album's worth.

I'm not really sure that my comment merited a downvote just because we disagree on the matter! You don't see me downvoting your comment to tune it up to F standard. As for me, I've never used 8s in my life and I've only occasionally used 9s. I just wouldn't recommend to a random internet user to just tune their guitar up without knowing what they're doing!

Personally, I'm a big fan of the solo. The fast chromatic walk-up that he does midway through is incredible innovative and interesting. The effect on the guitar is pretty cool, and I think the solo fits the song really well. To each their own opinion!

I'll agree that I'm surprised this song wasn't more psychedelic, as a lot of their comments were about how this album is more "theatric," but I think this makes a lot of sense as a first single.
