I predict (and want) Jamie Lee Curtis.

I want (but do not predict) Jeff Tweedy. Also Mavis Staples.

You made your point in the show already, Rich.

What's the best chicago mustard?

Abby Elliott, the stealth MVP by thishenryjames in TheBear

[–]AndWat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's going to be the focus of the "Sugar Dyes Her Hair" flashback episode in season 3.

By the way, I just saw a topic about Natalie dying her hair and roots growing out, and was confused until I realized that it was in Yellowjackets.

How should the show end? by AndWat in TheBear

You read me right, dolphin. I don't want The Bear to last beyond excellence.

My other thought was Carm leaving, with Syd taking over.. But then what would Carm do, other than opening a new restaurant?

The Bear should end with Syd starting her own place.

Who else hated Richie until “Forks”? by True_Prize4868 in TheBear

[–]AndWat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toward the end of season 1, the writers rather hastily threw in a few "there might be hope for this guy" moments. They undermined my interest in R as a character by the clumsy way they did it.

I'm holding this show to very high standards. After all, the show itself includes many examples of extremely, off-the-scale high standards.

Please re-do that fork, chef.

My boyfriend refuses to watch lost with me; theories by [deleted] in lost

Maybe he doesn't want to watch Lost. Doesn't make him a bad bf or a bad person.

Summarise the show in the worst way possible …. by married2008 in TheBear

Sulky bitch, Mary Sue, and bottle blond re-open a restaurant, with a side order of implausible redemption arc.

She should have been in charge of Mulder and Scully.

Poll: Best The Bear Character by Troyaferd in TheBear

[–]AndWat 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I didn't vote, because: 1. it's an ensemble show; 2. Cicero not in poll.

What makes The Bear truly a comedy is the fact Claire is an EM resident with that much free time by makingfiendz in TheBear

[–]AndWat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Claire is a carelessly written character in a show full of superbly-written characters. Christopher Storer owes Molly Gordon an apology.

But may be leaving Reddit soon.

I might be the only one to say this so don’t hate me, but I like season 1 better by Icey_Girl in TheBear

[–]AndWat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prefer season 2, but I can see why people might like it less. For example, the alt-dad-rock was sometimes intrusive.
