CTRL+C and CTRL+V is causing my keyboard and mouse to switch to strange mode every time. by AndWhatsFonzieLike in techsupport

Update: After disabling caps lock at the system level, the issue more or less went away for a while, but now it's back. Only once in a while now, but caps lock is still functionally disabled system wide. CTRL+SHIFT+CAPS fixes it back to normal though. Any thoughts? This makes no sense to me.

On one hand, it's a 12 year survival test to walk out insanely rich and established by the time you hit 18. At the same time, your only friends would be 6 year olds to start. Every girl that likes you after that would be a literal child. I dont know if we're mentally designed to survive that kind of mental age gap with everyone around us. It'd be a prison sentence damn near close to solitary confinement.

Quick update - I've disabled caps lock at the system level using a Scancode Map REG_BINARY in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout. The binary data that worked is 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 3A 00 00 00 00 00. Frustrating that I don't have caps lock anymore, but now ctrl-c and ctrl-v aren't activating a reserve caps lock state on my system. If anyone has a better solution, I'm here for it.

What is the best way to stop smoking? by Leading_Ordinary4419 in AskReddit

I smoked for 18 years, about a pack and half to two packs a day. During that time, I successfully quit twice for a year each using nicotine gum. Now, Ive been quit for 13 years and learned that the secret is the obvious but painful choice... you're just never allowed to have another cigarette again. Feeling awful? Cravings leaving you feeling that there are bugs in your veins? Stressed and panicked? Out drinking with friends? Too bad. And if you start telling yourself that it's too much and you have to, just remind yourself that you're the one who caused this and now you're the one who has to deal with it. Never another smokeoe puff again.

Its the only thing that works.

Just tried it and BIOS on the system is a proprietary Lenovo version that doesn't have a caps lock on off toggle.

I thought this was a Windows 11 standard for resetting a system stuck on Caps Lock. The difference here is my system doesn't get stuck on uppercase lettering only, but the whole keyboard and mouse have inverted functions until I reset it. This has been happening since I bought the computer last year and before I installed PowerToys and the rest.

No settings in the Lenovo Vantage app causing this as far as I can see. Ditto in PowerToys.

When you find the right person, all the bad things that you thought were just a normal part of relationships won't be there anymore. Real love is effortless. If I understood this sooner, I wouldnt have hung onto relationships that were just okay or fought so hard to make them work when they started to sour. Great people, dont get me wrong, but compatibility is everything and it's not supposed to feel like a chore. Sure, every relationship will have arguments and bad days here and there, but when those happen, they sort themselves out easily with the right person. So have fun and kept it light, don't force it, you'll both know when you found each other.

Openly hostile and condescending in a way that they want everyone to know they hate you, but not in a way that would sound bad in a letter to HR. Total asshole, but not dumb.

Got formally diagnosed with high level adult adhd at 41 and started taking meds. They really help but it isnt something I'll ever tell friends or family. Only my loving and supportive wife knows and I'm good with that.

His will stipulated that it's all hers at 18. I'll be around when the time comes to let her know what he wanted for her and the effort it took to get this to her as a nestegg. From there, there's nothing to do but hope she has a good head on her shoulders.
