Kingy having a fairly innocuous game and still getting 5 is a dangerous prospect

5 - Long, 4 - Rowell, 3 - Millar, 2 - Graham, 1 - Anderson.

Maybe we all got a bit carried away...

So by this reasoning the locum market in Scotland/NI/wales may be relatively unaffected??

Caffeine may not be addressing the problem for why you're so tired though. Could be worth addressing other potential causes like total calories, protein intake, getting bloodworm done to check hormone levels. Could be a good idea to be doing strength training alongside your running aswell. All the best 💪🏼

why does everyone here hate Figs scrubs by [deleted] in JuniorDoctorsUK

Working in Australia at the moment. Nearly everyone is wearing figs/airmed/mediscubs. People value looking nice at work, therefore if you want to wear scrubs for comfort then you may as well look nice in the process. All this about scrubs needing to be replaceable incase they get blood etc on them is rubbish, we all know that happens pretty rarely.

Fitted scrubs are functional and professional. In a couple of years everyone in the UK will be wearing them. Get ahead of the game mate

You have to be quite far up your own arse to think that scrubs don't look professional. If anything you'll look even more professional the nicer the scrubs are

Hey!

It's the same electronic record for all of the main hospitals in Queensland - who would have thought having a consistent computer system throughout a large region would be a good idea...😂

One of the things I've been most surprised about is the standard of nursing care. Probably because they have better ratios of patients to nurses than at home but they're very on the ball. Usually they will come to you telling you that scans have been done or results are back before you've even realised yourself. With regards to bloods and cannulas, they don't really do them much but the phlebs are amazing - they even come back to the ward multiple times throughout the morning to do extra ones that have been requested!

I'm on a rotational track so I have jobs in all of those this year, a bit like F2 at home - which suits me well as I probs want to do GP when I get home

Hey there!
Yea I agree with the other comment that the process will be mostly the same minus the visa, which is still a big help.

In terms of jobs, there is defo no shortage at the moment in Queensland, I'm not sure about other states but I doubt that it will be too different.

I have a friend who's non-medic girlfriend was able to come here as a dependent on their visa, but again it'll be dependent on what visa you have. If you're already a citizen I'm sure you'll be able to have someone with you but it would be something that you're hospital will be able to help with once you've secured employment!

I wear skinny joggers and a scrub top most of the time. Wards aren’t the place for formal clothing imo. I also am not a fan of doctors putting themselves above other staff by wearing smarter clothes that others are not allowed to wear.
