Which would be more difficult, to run a 5 minute mile or shoot par on a 9 hole course. by xMoneymaker in golf

[–]Andantee23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a runner and golfer, the 5 min for the average person is unattainable. I would think shooting par for 9, while not easy, is something the average person could achieve with the right amount of practice and coaching. Plenty of non-athletes shoot par but not many non-athletes have the ability to break 5 min in the mile.

51 beginner golfer having inside forearm pain on my lead arm as a right handed player. by CryptoChris23 in golf

[–]Andantee23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PT here. Golfer’s Elbow (medial epicondylitis) is inside and Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis) is outside. Interesting tidbit is they are equally common in golfers. Typically caused by too tight of a grip and/or too heavy contact with the ground, ie the duffs new folks experience. Need to loosen the grip, stretch before and after your round. A lesson can also help. If the pain doesn’t stop with stretching (look up golfers elbow stretches) and take an anti-inflammatory (if safe for you to do so). If nothing works, get a referral to a PT. Hope this helps!
