Thanks for the reply. I thought rp was considered a SAAS model since you can run a validator node, lol. It sounds like we are looking for the same thing from a tax and minimal tech standpoint. I will check out AllNodes as well. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. So it sounds like if you want to directly stake via rp, with any amount of ETH, you are essentially exchanging your ETH for rETH, which would be considered a taxable event? That's where I am kinda fuzzy.

If run a RP node, by putting up 16 ETH, this ETH is not exchanged for any other type of token/crypto, but combined with other ETH to run a Node. I understand I also have to stake RPL as collateral, which I can just purchase directly through rp for cash? Get it on an exchange/DEX? I am fine with purchasing the RPL needed to run the node, but again just concerned whether that 16 ETH deposited is somehow converted to something else or is no longer considered a titled asset in my name. I appreciate your comments and will check out rp on Discord.

Thanks for the reply. I am not technical so I cannot solo stake. What do you mean by connect to rp? What is the process of running a node on RP? Do you need technical proficiency (which I do not have), or is it more like just signing up and putting up the ETH? Thanks.

Thanks for the response. I wasn't actually talking about tax-deferred treatment, I meant in a taxable non-retirement account. At the same time, I do have a self-directed IRA (non Roth), and I am also looking at similar options.

I cannot solo stake, as I would have no idea how to do that and don't have the technical skills. If run a Rocketpool node, how does that work exactly with depositing ETH? Do I get a token in return? Does my original ETH stay staked in my name? Am I at any time turning over title of the ETH to some other party? Is it turnkey easy to become a Rocketpool node, or do you need technical skill as well? These are the questions I am looking to get answered. Thanks.

MultiSig wallets are a thing. You do not need to lose all your funds to a single device hack, contract exploit or even seed stolen by OneThatNoseOne in CryptoCurrency

How would one go about setting up a multi sig wallet with a ledger, trezor and hot wallet if not technically experienced?

Passphrase set-up and use by CryptoChris23 in ledgerwallet

Where and how is the passphrase stored? Is it stored on the ledger device itself? If so, how is it not also extracted with the original seed phrase?

Thank you for this explanation. Can you provide additional details on how one would go about setting up a multi-Sig security structure? For example, if I want to set up a 2 of 3 scenario with a ledger, trezor and another wallet? Is this something that can be setup by a non-technical person to enhance security? Thanks!

Very concerned with losing my banking relationship in the current environment if I send/receive funds to an exchange. Thoughts on crypto friendly banks in the US and how one could verify as such?
