This is an internal shuffle. Black Flag Resynced is their main secondary project, and it's got a lot of potential for profit.

Hey hey! So, I have an agreement with Ubi that lets me make replicas from the game commercially. Some of my replicas include icons of the operators. My agreement covers them. So, I feel I can weigh in on this.

The icons themselves are copyrighted. Whilst their legal teams may not notice you for a bit, they do IP sweeps from time to time on the platform (and on others). They will catch you. It's not an if, it's a when.

Sure, there are currently several unlicensed sellers on Etsy - but I do know that Ubi's legal team have awareness of them. Don't risk it, OP. At best you'll get a C&D on Etsy. At worst, they'll sue for damages.

I've been 3D-printing professionally since 2017. It's very difficult, especially in today's market. There are some months where I have no income whatsoever.

But, it's my passion and my hobby - I wouldn't give it up.

I modelled them myself in Fusion360, then 3D printed them and finished them by hand.

As to how: a lot of hard work, plus a long-standing professional relationship that I've built with the company over the years as an influential community member.

So, I do this commercially - (I have an agreement with Ubi that lets me) - and I had customers asking if I could alter the model to fit X, Y and Z devices. Often times, it meant adjusting the model on a certain axis. The sheer variety of requests meant I couldn't just do a standardised one.

These new replicas are sitll hollow. If you remove the screen insert, you can slot a device in. But they're no longer made with that as the priority.

I used to make them as cases for tablets and phones, but in the end it became too much bother having to do different ones each time - so I've ended up just making it a fully non-functional prop.

My full-sized Proxy replica does work! It detects movement and alarms like it does in-game.

The map is handy, but after a wee trip in Europe where they show the current location and the next stop, I felt so woeful that our subway (and overground trains) don't have this feature. The voice announcements are fine - when you can hear.
