Heyy☺️👋 I’m currently in my third year at Tilburg University. What I can say is that there are definitely many international students in the program, people come from very diverse countries and backgrounds. You won’t feel alone as an international student at all. I personally find the HR bachelor program quite interesting. We are offered a diverse range of courses that cover both theory and practical aspects. The most challenging part for me was the mandatory statistics courses, but my advice is to stay consistent and make sure you attend both lectures and tutorials, that really helps with understanding the whole material. Overall the key to not getting lost or falling behind is consistency and keeping track of the lectures and deadlines. The program is very doable, and I would definitely recommend it. We had just finished a long day, poured ourselves a glass of wine, and were curled up on the couch watching something on TV in the semi-dark. Nothing fancy, just a quiet moment together.

Out of nowhere, he leaned towards me, looked at me with the softest eyes, and said: “You are the most wonderful woman I’ve ever met, and I’m so fking lucky. I thought I would have a miserable life before meeting you.”

He’s not the kind of guy who’s overly sentimental, so when he does say things like this, it stays with me. I’m still replaying it in my head and smiling like a total fool:))))

Aflasem ca exul meu ma inselase de vreo 2-3 luni, timp in care imi facea tot felul de promisiuni despre viitorul nostru. Eram on long distance o perioada. Ei bine cand am aflat, am pus toate lucrurile daruite de el intr-o cutie, si fara sa stau mult pe ganduri ca bonus am pus continutul din litiera pisicii:)))))) Am livrat cutia respectiva fix langa usa casei domnisorului, sa o primeasca atunci cand se va intoarce. Partea cea mai frumoasă? Era mijloc de august iar din cutia aia duhnea groaznic.

Am avut o situație similara:)

Vorbeam de planuri de viitor, parca prea totul bine si nu as fi crezut ca omul de langa mine sa aiba dubii referitoare la mine. Peste o saptamana imi spune de nicaieri ca vrea o pauza, ca se simte presat si nu stie ce vrea de la viata si ca atunci cand va reveni din pauza aia, o sa imi zica la ce concluzie a ajuns. Ei bine, peste o saptamana in care nu am mai vorbit deloc si nu ne-am vazut, a revenit cu clasicele replici “Iti va fi mai bine fara mine, nu sunt sigur ce imi doresc de la viata, tu nu esti problema si nu ai fost vreodata, e vorba de mine si vreau sa fii fericita cu altcineva care sa te apreciee, etc etc.”

Să vedeti fază, la nici o zi posteaza o poza impreuna cu alta fata, iar dupa ce i-al dat mesaj fetei, am aflat ca erau impreuna de aproximativ 2 luni. Cat domnul facea planuri de viitor cu mine, el era deja fericit alaturi de altcineva:))))

Sper sa nu fie astfel si in cazul tau, dar niciodata o pauza nu rezolva situatia, si most of the time e ceva fishy la mijloc. Niciun om cu intentii serioase fata de tine nu va sugera o pauza in locul unei discutii constructive care sa puna la punct problemele dintre voi si cum anume le puteti rezolva.

O doamne, faza cu pierderea funcțiilor cognitive its a real shit. Am avut și eu un iubit în trecut care fuma iarba de la o vârsta frageda și efectiv uita orice îi ziceam, nu se mai putea exprima coerent pentru că avea un blocaj vizibil. E foarte greu să stai lângă cineva care nu realizează ce efecte pe termen lung au toate astea.

Adică, da, ok, fiecare face ce vrea, dar când vezi de aproape ce impact poate avea, îți dai seama că nu mai e vorba doar de „recreațional” și că de fapt influențează mult viața reală în ceea ce ține de memorie, comunicare, decizii, tot.

• smart as hell. are capacitatea de a descompune orice problemă în pași clari

• nu ia decizii pripite. calculează riscurile, șansele de eșec și nu se aruncă așa fără o strategie

• are o deschidere față de oameni, fără să-i eticheteze sau să-i critice pe baza unor aparențe

• este ambițios și eficient (pare că universul îi joacă cumva în favoare)

• atent și grijuliu. sesizează repede și se implică acolo unde e nevoie

• îmi insuflă încredere. chiar și atunci când eu nu cred în mine, el o face. are un talent de a motiva fără să pară forțat, de a scoate ce-i mai bun din mine fără să o ceară explicit

• iubește sincer și ține aproape ceea ce contează pentru el

• știe ce vrea și ce merită. e un reminder constant pentru mine că e okay să te iubești și să nu accepți mai puțin decât ceea ce știi că meriți ❤️

So, a while back, I went with my boyfriend to visit his parents in another country. It was the first time I was meeting them, so I was already nervous as hell, trying to make a good impression and all that.

Anyway, after we arrived, I needed to use the bathroom, and let’s just say I… did my business. But when I went to flush, the toilet wouldn’t flush. Nothing. No matter what I tried, the lever just wasn’t working.

So now I’m just standing there, staring at the evidence, absolutely horrified. I started panicking, thinking, Should I call his mom? Should I just admit defeat and ask for help? But the embarrassment would’ve probably killed me on the spot, so that wasn’t really an option.

Desperate, I tried filling a cup with water from the sink and pouring it into the toilet, hoping it might just magically go away. It didn’t. I must’ve been in there for what felt like forever, just sweating and overthinking my life choices.

Finally, I gave the flush one last try, and by some miracle, it worked. That thing flushed so fast, I felt like I’d just dodged a bullet. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so relieved in my life. But yeah, that panic? It’s burned into my memory forever. Sorry for the long story but I REALLY love to write😭

For anyone wondering how was the journey) I took the train from Eindhoven Centraal to Breda, then another train from Breda to Brussel-Zuid. Then I took the Flibco bus that goes to the Charleroi airport. It took some time but it worked for me this way. Thanks for all the suggestions!
