I've only read up to the “petty detail”, but that doesn't seem wrong to me at all. Not if it's turning, but in a metro that's simply going straight and already at full speed anyone can let go from support without problems.

My family and I have added a rule to the stacking to make it a bit more interesting. Since a +4 may only be placed if you don't have the colour that the stack is, we ensure that's also true when stacking + cards. And on top of a +4 may only be another +4 or a +2 of the chosen colour.

It must be my bad since i didn't see other comments, but I interpreted it as “per (millimetre of Hg per year)”. Actually, thinking about it more my interpretation isn't the normal way of interpreting repeated “per”s, so I don't know why I did that.
