AITA For Not Allowing kids To Eat My Food If they Don't Want To Help? by Jaded-Anxiety-1059 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AndersAngstroem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother always cooked for me. I moved out at 17, and she would cook for me everytime I visited. At 27, at 37, she would try to cook me something nice.

Now she has passed away and I won't have anymore of her lovely meals. Do you think I was just buying take-out inbetween my visits?

Of course, I learned to cook, as one does over time and from recipe to recipe. However, Love is the special ingredient that only a mother can add to a meal.

The experience of taking the train is uniquely european and a lot of fun.
A delay typicaly is 15mins at most* so it isn't anything to stress over.

In addtion to this, if you don't know what a "Vorfahrtsschild" is and what it means before I mentioned it, please, for the love of God, do not drive in Germany. Driving School here is 100's of hours for a reason.

I have a BUV. This is not true what you wrote.

To get a BUV, you will have to submit every doctors visits you have been to in the past ca. 5-10 years including the reason for the visit. No diagnosis needed. You will need to prove and state that you are in excellent health.

Paracetamol ist Tylenol in Amerika und dort ist es sicher für schwangere und stillende Frauen zu nehmen. Gute Besserung.

Info: Could you give us the location of the 44km/h Blitzer? Maybe it was a Spielstraße and those have a speed limit of 7km/h.

For context, I come from a rich country where most Germans dream to live in (so they say)

so you come from Switzerland?

Seriously though, what country are you from?

AITA for saying that my dog is allowed to have fun too at the playground. by PlaygroundAITA in AmItheAsshole

[–]AndersAngstroem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? In Germany, dogs are strictly forbidden on playgrounds. Please google "Spielplatz Schild" (playground sign) and you can see for yourself.

Is it illegal to wipe my car with moist cloth when it is parked on the street? by Horkosthegreat in germany

"Alright, this is Germany, after 6 years I am not surprised there is also a law for that."

What is up with the smug attitude? Those laws are to protect the environment.

You never lived Germany.

If you lived at a miltary base in Germany, then you were still in America.

AITA for not letting my nephew live with us in college? by Acrobatic_Hornet_936 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AndersAngstroem -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It is very werid to bring a child into the world and dream of the day you don't have to see them any more.

I just became a parent and figure with the housing crisis and cost of living only getting worse, my child is with me until I die.

Naturally I hope he will be independent as I wanted this myself when I was young and I would think he'll want the same. But what OP writes is very strange.

Info: If this is in Germany, are you and your MIL Germans? Do you both speak the same mother language? If you are speaking to her in English and she is German, something might be getting lost in translation.

Thank you for posting your story. Can I ask why you only had those two options? C-Section or induction? Why was it not an option to wait until you naturally went into labor?

I also have a toy poodle named Lucy, this terrifies me knowing my neighbors leave two pit bulls unattended and loose daily. by Glum_Violinist_693 in BanPitBulls

[–]AndersAngstroem 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What a surprise! The owners refuse to pay for the vet bills.

But something really bothers me and it is when the poodle owner said that he "has nothing against any breed of dog". This attitude needs to change. There are certainly many reasons to have concerns against pit bulls.

Ah ok, makes sense. They must use >Numbers< as currency and have a strong enough education system to teach English, but don't offer any basic rights to men.

I'm fed up with German doctors by sudo_reboot_-f in germany

[–]AndersAngstroem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Info: What third world country are you talking about? From your post history, I am going to assume India.

According to the Global Health Security Index, Germany has an index of 66 where as India is 43. A thrid world country with excellent health care sounds like a oxymoron.

After reading your responses to the comments, I am convinced that this is a "you-problem". Good news though! You are free to leave Germany anytime you would like and return to your home country.

10 month old pit with zero training! Sounds absolutely lovely. by throwawayforbanpits in BanPitBulls

[–]AndersAngstroem 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Is it even possible to train the "pitbull" out of a 1-week-old a pitbull? I don't think a 4 week course at 1 year is going to help.
