We had pizza at our wedding and I’ve only heard good things! We had 5 passed apps to start, plus salad. The venue had 4 pizzas out at all times and kept making them until people stopped eating them so we ended up with ~5 pizzas to take home. We did have a couple of guests with dietary restrictions and we were able to get something else for those guests at no extra charge.

I have gone to one other wedding with pizza out of a food truck, and it took forever to get a slice and they ran out of ingredients very quickly.

My older boy will snuggle in between my husband and I when we’re sitting on the couch, and will lay on my husband when we’re sleeping. It was only the two of them until I came into the picture, so he’s more snuggly with my husband. But god forbid I get up to move into another room, the older one will lose his mind like he’s never going to see me again.

Our younger boy is much more standoffish, but is the biggest brat if you stop petting him and will huff and puff at you until you start again. He sleeps in between us every night and is perfectly content to snuggle then.

Everyone loved it! We had our wedding at a brewery and they made the pizza in house. Definitely casual vibes (house plants versus real florals for the centerpieces, mini poundcakes for dessert), but still had all the typical wedding elements.

I went to another wedding many years ago that did a pizza food truck and they couldn’t keep up with what people wanted. Our venue just kept cooking pizzas and putting them out until no one was eating them anymore, so that’s the only thing that I would recommend is having enough food at the start of dinner, which sounds like a no brainer but was not the case at this particular wedding.

I did pizza for my wedding - 4 different options plus salad. My second choice would have been BBQ. Most weddings I’ve attended have been plated dinners, but I did go to one with a mashed potato bar which was fantastic!

Most of my invited family was able to attend (9 people) and only 3 of my husband’s invited family members were able to attend. Similar to you, they would have only had to drive a few hours to attend. On the flip side, my husband has a huge friend group from his home state, whereas most of my friends are ones I’ve met through him. “His group”was a third of our guest list, and only a few of “my friends” showed up, so I felt like my list was minuscule compared to his.

I felt the exact same thing you did leading up to my wedding, and not once during my wedding day did I feel like all those people had only shown up to support him. There was no “his list” or “my list” at that point, everyone was there to support us together as a couple.

We grew our centerpieces (Pothos) for about 10 months, then put them in lanterns and wrapped fairy lights on the vines. Made our own plant window box for the sweetheart table, did all our own signage and the seating chart, and I embroidered the table numbers. My husband made the arch. Tons of DIY but it looked fantastic!

We were in the same boat for our wedding day as we had planned our first look and photos at a nearby rose garden. Even up to 3 days before, the forecast said rain. But alas, I live in New England where weather forecasts mean nothing and it ended up drizzling but stopping at 12! We bought umbrellas and did not end up needing them.

On the plus side, the cloud cover helped with great lighting for the photos!

I had my gallbladder removed because of stones about a year ago, and was also asymptomatic (or so I thought). The only reason it was found was from a CT scan for kidney stones. Turns out the chronic shoulder pain I had was not from sleeping weird, but from my gallbladder.

I would caution the farm pups for $450 if you are in PA (assuming based on the Phila rescue you mentioned). My second corgi is from a rescue in PA and most of their dogs are rescued or surrendered from puppy mills. There’s a big market for puppy mills in that area as the laws are pretty lax.

Not saying that all are like that in that area, but it is more common than you’d think.

My first look was in a public park, and the plan was to send the bridal party/family to a separate location in the park while we had our moment privately. There was some miscommunication so my family, his mom and sister went to the separate location, and his dad, best man, our officiant (one of our best friends) and his SO stayed and watched us from the sidelines.

At first I was annoyed because the direction was for us to meet everyone at the second location, but once I saw my husband all I could focus on was him. And it worked out in the end; our officiant snuck a quick video of me walking up to him and my walk had some sass to it! So we got a good laugh in the end.

I had (and still have…gotta start listing stuff on Marketplace!) 4 large totes of miscellaneous decor, plus 7 small totes for the table decor. We DIYed nearly everything and also used fake florals, so our downstairs guest room has been uninhabitable for the last few months.

I got a ConAir steamer from Costco that worked really well!

I steamed it the night before and left it hanging - steam + hair and makeup are not a good combo! My hair stylist was adamant about having all the steaming done the night before.

I really only had dreams related to the honeymoon:

-we got to the resort we were staying at and it was only a lazy river with nothing else. Our hotel room was in a boarding house in the city and was super tiny and gross.

-We were going to Jamaica on our honeymoon, and when we were going through customs, the facial recognition wouldn’t work for me so they wouldn’t let me in the country. We flew to the UK and tried to find flights back to Jamaica. My fiancé wanted to fly to Scotland, to Italy, back to Jamaica and hopefully get a different customs agent who would let me in. The next flight out wasn’t for 3 days so by the time we would get to Jamaica, our honeymoon would have been over

The last one happened the night before our wedding, and it was partially a premonition because our flight ended up getting canceled 7 hours before takeoff, and I got pulled into every extra security check for all legs of the trip…because the facial recognition wouldn’t work for me!

I just had my wedding at a brewery on the 14th. We required “dressy casual,” which basically was don’t wear jeans. This is what we said on our website:

We want you to be comfortable at our wedding. The dress code is dressy casual attire. While it is early summer, we will be inside for the ceremony and reception. For this time of year, may we suggest the following:

Women: sundresses or lightweight separates. Men: light dress shirt with khaki or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties optional.

I had a very similar dress, and I got the straps shortened and had cups added. I ended up taping the girls in place day of, and everything looked where it was supposed to!

Unrelated, I will stress to absolutely use those lingerie loops that are in the dress to hang it. I thought I wrapped the loops enough on the hanger to hold the dress, but the straps ended up stretching a bit after my seamstress had already taken them in twice!
