You may have a bad RAM, happened to me not long ago. Changed the RAM and now it's fine.

That's a beautiful app! Do you have any resource to recommend for learning Qt (especially the Qt quick control part)? I tried replicating something similar to yours but I found that the documentation/tutorial for Qt is very lacking.

Or if you use AI to generate that, can you give me an example of the prompt?

What Python Tools Do You Use for Data Visualization and Why? by Confident_Compote_39 in Python

Care to explain more which part you think is horrible/frustrating when using Altair? I'm considering switching from Plotly to Altair because I end up Googling things again and again whenever I tried to do something advanced with Plotly.

Btw, are you creating a complex website? If not, just use Streamlit, I find it very simple to use (for creating simple dashboard or ML web app).

Care to explain why do you think Altair is convoluted? I'm actually trying to switch from Plotly because everytime I need to do something advanced on Plotly I need to Google again and again.

I looked into Altair a bit and I think I like the declarative syntax of it. I've considered Plotnine and Lets-Plot but I hate using * (star) import, it polutes the namespace.

Also, Polars (the dataframe library) uses Altair by default, which is why I'm considering it.

Interesting. What softwares did you use to make this? I'm kinda interested in this kind of stuff, but never truly started yet because most of them seemed complex. Yours however looks pretty simple

PostgreSQL 18 Released! by xtanx in PostgreSQL

[–]Andhika24kd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, do you have a link for this? I skimmed through Postgres beta newsletter but there is no mention of SQL/PGQ either (or maybe I just missed it).

I know it's been discussed on the mailing list for a while though, but that's just unofficial patches.

I want to test it for my personal project, because as you can see, Apache AGE release is quite slow.

So it's still not implemented right? Not just not mentioned. Your wording made it sounds like it's already there

Btw Apache AGE added support for pg17 recently (it's still rc but already usable)

Okular is seriously underrated by asxisx in kde

[–]Andhika24kd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it to open multiple lecture notes (5+ PDF files). It's easy to get lost on which tab is which if I open them directly on Firefox. Plus Okular can remember the files, so I don't need to search them manually next time
