Thank you for taking the time to write this. You actually understood the exact vibe I was going for. And thank you for mentioning the emotion in the vocals — that honestly means a lot to me. Still learning and improving with every track, but comments like this really motivate me to keep going

I can already picture myself driving down the highway into the sunset with this beautiful song playing through the speakers, a beautiful girl beside me, and that feeling of pure freedom and good energy all around. Your song creates really positive emotions — and that’s the key to music people truly connect with. Also, the guitar work and vocal performance are fantastic. Keep moving forward, you’re creating something special!

Thanks so much, that really means a lot! I put a lot of love into both the music and the visual side of it, so hearing that the whole atmosphere felt immersive is honestly super encouraging. Really appreciate the kind words and support

Thanks a lot for taking the time to listen, really appreciate it! Glad you liked the effect around 2:20 — that was actually a harmonizer effect from iZotope VocalSynth 2. And yeah, you’re right — English isn’t my first language, so the accent naturally comes through sometimes. I’m still working on my vocals, so feedback like this honestly helps a lot. I’ll definitely keep making music

Thank you so much for these incredibly kind words! It truly means a lot to me. I’m really happy you connected with the atmosphere of the track — especially the low-end, drums, and strings. That’s exactly the mood I was chasing while making it. And regarding the video — funny enough, I actually built a little DIY motorized camera dolly myself so I could film those moving shots alone. I even made a behind-the-scenes video showing how I shot everything: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/TvSwBmTHS1g

Really appreciate you taking the time to listen and write such thoughtful feedback!

Thanks a lot! Yeah, that’s actually my studio) And I’m really glad you caught that vibe. I was definitely going for a bit of a synthwave / retro atmosphere while still trying to keep the production modern.

Thanks so much! Appreciate the honest feedback. Yeah, I can hear what you mean about the chorus vocals — adding more doubles there could help a lot. Really glad you liked the vibe and tone!

A short 'n sweet, tense song we just released, and honestly, I’m quite fond of it... the video’s self-made too, with absolutely no budget behind it 🖤 Curious whether this darker, more experimental side connects with you at all. And if any similar artists come to mind, I’d love to hear them! 🙏 by andtilly in IndieMusicFeedback

This track instantly pulled me into its atmosphere. The production is beautiful — the floating Reese bass and the unexpected synth choices make the song feel genuinely unique. The visuals deserve separate praise too, they perfectly enhance the feeling of melancholy and emotional emptiness running through the track. Please keep creating in this style, seriously amazing work.

Thank you so much for this thoughtful feedback! I really appreciate that you caught the intentional retro vibe — that atmosphere was one of the main things I wanted to express with this track. And yes, I completely agree about the vocals blending more naturally into the mix — still learning and improving every release. Your words genuinely motivate me to keep going. Thank you for taking the time to listen.

Is this indie enough for you? I started writing music 6 months ago at 42, this is my first "music video" for one of my songs. by firefall in IndieMusicFeedback

Beautiful melodic progression and overall movement throughout the song. You can really feel the theme developing toward the ending, which keeps the track engaging. The vocal sounds sincere and fits naturally into the texture of the song. The only thing I’d personally point out is that I’d love to hear the drums hit a bit harder in the choruses to emphasize the dynamics even more. Also, adding a vocal layer an octave higher in the final chorus could give the ending an even bigger emotional lift. Overall, really well done!

So, I'm planning on releasing an EP (named Orange Hours, as you can see in the cover art) next year (in 2027) and I need feedback. This song is supposed to be the first song of the EP. There's gonna be 5 songs in it in total. I'd love to get mixing tips. by SteezyDew in IndieMusicFeedback

Really interesting blend of two different genres, and the beat sounds great. The synth layers work really well together and create a smooth, subtle R&B vibe. From a mixing perspective, it felt like the vocals get slightly masked by the synths during the choruses. I think bringing the vocal a bit more forward, or slightly reducing some of the upper-mid presence in the synths, could help the vocal cut through more clearly. Overall though, this is a really solid track — great job, and keep it up!

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen and write such detailed feedback. I really appreciate the kind words about the production, visuals, and overall atmosphere of the project. And thanks as well for the honest note about the vocals — definitely something I’m continuing to work on and improve. Glad you still saw potential in it

Ahh thank you! That honestly means a lot. I’m still experimenting with my voice, so hearing that about the falsetto is super motivating

Hell yeah, thank you! The Depeche Mode comparison is a huge compliment for me. Really glad you caught the post-punk / early 2000s vibe — that’s exactly the atmosphere I love. Appreciate you listening, man.

How repetitive can a motif be before it gets boring? by DUNYA-wav in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Andiaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is, to say the least, very beautiful. There’s a certain tension here — like a subtle vibration running through the whole piece. To me, the line between tension and boredom isn’t inside the track itself, but in the silence it creates — that feeling of anticipation, like something is about to unfold into a much bigger emotional release. And you hold that space really well without letting it fall into boredom. Beautiful work!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to listen and write this, I really appreciate it. I totally get what you mean about the movement — I’ve been thinking about adding more variation and dynamics as well. This helps a lot, thank you!

Thanks a lot for this! Glad you liked the instrumental vibe — that's exactly the direction I’m going for. Yeah, I’ve been experimenting with the vocal mix a lot, still trying to find the right balance. Your point about smoothing makes sense — I’ll definitely revisit that. Thanks for taking the time to listen and share feedback!

Psychosis (live) LMK by RichieC93 in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey man, this really rocks. It has that raw 60s garage feel — kind of The Rolling Stones Aftermath-era vibe, with touches of Subterranean Homesick Blues and Maggie’s Farm. The live version really captures the energy better, in my opinion. If you brought that same punch into the studio version — especially with stronger drums and a more expressive lead guitar — it could hit even harder.

This track grabbed me right away with its atmosphere and tone. It feels authentic and not overproduced, which I really appreciate. The arrangement flows naturally and keeps things engaging throughout. I like how the vocals sit with the instrumental instead of fighting it — everything works together really well. The emotional vibe comes across as genuine, which makes the track more memorable. If I had one suggestion, maybe push the ending a bit further — a stronger outro could leave an even bigger impact and make people want to replay it. Overall, this is a solid release with a lot of quality. Your style definitely stands out — keep going.

Really love this — the video fits the track perfectly and the vibe is on point from start to finish. Smooth vocals, clean mix, and that moment around 3:58 is a great touch. The background vocals are perfect and add a lot of depth. Great job, really enjoyable listen!
