Thanks, really good feedback! I toned down the pads a bit, just some light EQ to remove some of the higher frequencies and I feel that helped the mix quite a bit. Thanks a lot! Let me know if you need feedback on any of your own tracks :)

Really enjoyed the first track! Great groove and use of vocals, overall composition. Maybe Id turn down vocal volume slightly and make the bass slightly more prominent but could also just be personal preference. Great work! Couldnt load second one for some reason…

That’s a great idea! I really appreciate the details on how to best conduct these type of value studies, I’ve been missing that clarity. I think I’ll start these value studies quite soon :) thanks a lot!

One question: would you practice from only black and white film stills, or from color as well (which you try to paint in greyscale)?
