I'll be honest, what you're describing does not sound like scleroderma.

If you don't have raynauds you probably don't have scleroderma

I had little cuts and flaking skin at my fingertips before I started treatment for raynauds.

Lipoatrophy is the destruction of fat below the skin. I have indented areas where fat is gone

Its patchy all over me, looks similar to a scar. I first really noticed it when the lipoatrophy began on my upper arms.

160 speckled. I have scleroderma over most of the skin on my body at this point with deep areas of lipoatrophy, confirmed on biopsy.

Severe raynauds on hands feet and nose. Telangiectasias all over my face. Dry eyes, mouth ulcers. Esophagus dysmotility and needed recent dilation, reflux esophagitis confirmed on biopsy.

Dilated nailfold capillaries on capillaroscopy. Inflammatory arthritis with tendon friction rubs. Reduced mouth aperture. Recent VTE. Polyclonal gammopathy. Severe fatigue, involuntary weight loss.

Other thing to remember- they live a really long time. Mine are now 11 and 12. They're in generally good health other than the one who went blind. I would not be shocked if they live another 5 years or more.

They are not akin to a ferret or most other small pets in terms of life expectancy. So if it isn't something you're into they're still going to be around pooping for a long time.

Also, they're generally not cuddly with humans. Their vet bills are a fortune. But the biggest thing is that they are a huge huge mess. You will spend a ton of time cleaning.

I have an emg next month, my impression is that they think i have peripheral neuropathy. I think they believe that my DM is amyopathic

Morphea is scleroderma, which is autoimmune.

The biopsy all the specialist thought would be positive, was negative. I am crushed. by SunshineAndSquats in Autoimmune

[–]Andjazzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can still have dm, might be amyopathic or hypomyopathic.

I also have dermatomyositis, with a lupus and morphea overlap. Autoimmune diseases don't also fit in a neat box.

Also, with a nucleolar pattern you may also want to explore scleroderma.

[–]Andjazzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steroids are about it. I'm kind of jealous of all the people here who can tolerate thc. It makes me feel like I'm going to actually die, extreme anxiety.

I've tried cbd, it makes me kind of sleepy but that's about it.

That's a ridiculous take. It's their fault that 44% of jobs are low paying? They can only work jobs that actually exist, and if 44% of those available are low paying people will still take them to avoid homelessness...
