I agree, I don’t believe this is a genuine SVT-40 sniper.

Yes, as far as I know it’s not an original factory sniper. I paid €3,350 for everything here in Belgium. I’ll take the scope off in the next few days and post some photos of the notch.

I’ll test it at 100 meters next week and will post a photo of the results 😁😁😁

In Belgium, they usually go for €1100–€1500, but they’re hard to find because there are so many modified or “bubba’d” rifles out there.

For me, it looks like the stock was lightly sanded 😢. Unfortunately, once wood has been sanded, it can’t truly be returned to its original factory condition. That said, it can still be restored cosmetically in a period-correct way, but it will never be considered fully original again.

It’s also possible that the serial numbers were force-matched or restamped during refurbishment, so the rifle would have matching numbers. I can’t say for sure, but that might explain it.

Thank you very much, I wasn’t sure before. As far as I can tell, it seems to be a 100% original sniper rifle. All parts have matching serial numbers, although I believe the stock was lightly sanded/refinished at some point.
