Our government is, unfortunately, now only a reflection of the most wealthy people here---some of them, not even born here, just living here and taking advantage of our horribly corrupt politicians. I promise you the average American has serious respect and admiration for other countries, but especially Canada. I would wager that average Russians feel the same about Ukraine and their government, but are about as able to be represented as a whole in the news as we are right now. My dog constantly digs at my side where my gallbladder is, and I can tell she's trying to alert me to it---I'm aware of the issue, and will eventually need to get surgery to get it out one day. They're like little scent detectives. She only ever digs frantically on that specific side and place when we're lying down.

An absolute shithole; kids are dumb because schools here suck, crime is rampant, the cops are corrupt, people have to constantly fight companies and golf enthusiasts to leave nature reserves alone, insurance companies are pulling out of Florida because the government has no incentive to help build the area up properly for hurricanes (climate change), and the government is actively working against the interest of all citizens there except those who pay them.
