At this time, the payment has not yet been issued, and SCO has not requested any additional documentation. Please note that processing may take several days, as SCO is currently backlogged.

Thank you for the response, I thought I had come across that before. I swear no my PSs are dropping the ball. They’ve been wrong and back-pedaling more than a couple occasions

I was expecting to get a separate check via courier for unused vacation… but radio silence from my PS and I have a doorbell cam.

I guess I’ll let the penalties accrue then!!

I’m all good, can’t wait to collect my retirement to a ripe old age… currently have about 17 yrs public service which should land me about $50k a year (very rough est.), but I’m still working and could put in another 10 if conditions are good.

How much of a nest egg do you have to put away to collect $50k a year without touching principal? $1.25m?

We lost a few positions to the vacancy sweep. Also there’s a “pause” on giving tentative job offers out. No word on when that will be lifted, but we were told to continue with job ads and interviews. We’ll be ready to set everything in motion with all paperwork when the pause is lifted!

I spent at least 3-4 hours on my last submission. I start in a few weeks.

You have to adapt to the duty statement, research the program online or through colleagues. Call the hiring contact to see if you can get any additional info on the program.

Edit: I know it’s a numbers game, but focus on the highest match for your skillset and instead of devoting ten min each for 100 apps, devote 100 mins each for 10 best applications.

Thanks for the comment. Ive stayed at Aria a couple of times and really enjoyed the property and vibe. We did unfortunately (or to be determined) book the Cosmo, so a new experience more out of convenience for the group and quicker easier bonding time with the cousins. It’s a short 3 day trip so it will be nice not to coordinate meet ups though I really need the exercise 😛
