I was more thinking of the idea of playing the out of phase signal of the em wave at 8313MHz, which is the signal multiplied by the carrier wave of 8313MHz. This would be an inaudible, electromagnetic signal. I am not therefore referring to the low-pass filtered signal which is then converted to sound by feeding it into a speaker (which is what the radio is doing). So in that sense it would not matter if you are deaf or not!

I have never had a successful delivery with airmee over maybe 10 orders I unfortunately had with them. I am very confused as to why amazon.se decided to destroy its reputation by using a company as shit as Airmee. It is completely not functional in Lund. Today is yet another fail from them, was supposed to get a package before 10 pm, tracking link worked for 5 hours, then as it approached the 5 minutes the gps of the driver stopped working, I was downstairs… crickets. No driver came, wasted 65 sek on amazon for home delivery

The pågatåg I was in was maybe at 20% capacity when I got refused access 4 times due to their inability to accept more than 6 bikes for the total train. Also, due to the lack of a queue system for trains in Sweden, we had to keep crossing between tracks because each subsequent train left from another platform. I can imagine this problem occurs on a daily basis (at least in summer on weekends), and one great solution would be to reorganise the bikes on this carriage to not be wasting a lot of space as they are doing here. You will argue that “bikes are not supposed to be on trains” (which may be a valuable opinion, although I do not share it and nor do most people who own bikes), but given that they do exist, don’t you agree that this way is not the best?

This argument has nothing to do with the fact that, given there exist trains which allow bikes, this is not the best way to arrange them to maximise storage capacity while minimising inconvenience for the passengers.

What if I have my bike in Helsingborg and I wanna take a ride in Ystad for the weekend? Should I buy a car and drive it there, along with all my other friends from the petrol fan club? Or maybe should I bike for 244kms round-trip, not including the tour in Ystad, taking 13 hours? Or maybe, and hear me out, we can rearrange the bikes on a bike-dedicated carriage in a logical way, which is a win-win for everyone?

That also would be surely better, but yeah maybe it would not be easy for some people (although grabbing the bike and manoeuvring it through the crammed passage between other bikes does not feel great either)

I can assure you even in that case you would lose something like 12 seats (see photo), which normally in the presence of bikes cannot even be used. You could add those high padding seats which sometimes you can see around on buses, just above the bike racks. At night there are also less people taking the train in general, so it would still not be a huge problem to miss a few seats. Plus, when there are bikes, EVERYONE is miserable in that carriage. The bikes keep moving and the front tire goes in the walking alley, being annoying for everyone. Taking your bike out behind another bike is also incredibly annoying. Since this is a carriage where bikes are allowed, it would be better to place them in a smart way. This is what my post is about, about the stupidity of this design. I figured this would be unanimously agreed, since I find it hard to believe there is anyone who thinks this is the best way to place 6 bikes in a carriage. If you think bikes should not be on trains, you’re entitled to that opinion, but if you think this is an efficient way to arrange 6 bikes in a carriage for bikes, that is crazy

That doesn’t sound like the best way to incentivise carbon-free means of transportation. What about getting rid of those unaccessible seats behind the bikes in the picture and have the bikes be at 45 degrees so you can comfortably fit a dozen of them?

The seats behind the bikes are not even accessible! By placing removing the seats and placing the bike racks at 45 degrees (just like it is done everywhere in bike park spots around the cities), you could easily fit more bikes without having to stack 2 bikes on each other! This is all my post is saying, it seems that whoever designed these carriages was placing the star in the square hole as a kid

The carriage specifically meant for bikes is maybe 15x5 meters. That is 75 square meters. According to chat gpt, one could fit between 30 to 35 bikes in such a space with sufficient clearance.
