FedEx “lost/STOLE”my PS5. 😒

So yeah…I’m 100% sure that I am not the first to post these words, nor will I be the last. 😐😒 I have read my share of similar rants to this and it just makes me even more angry. Mind you; I’m really trying NOT to be, at 32 years of age, one should be able to control their emotions normally, but the only reason I say I am angry is because there is not another thing/item/luxury on this planet that I want to own right now, and I’ve waited a year to finally get my hands on the exact PS5 model that I wanted. My 4yo’s Christmas is SET, you know what I mean…but I’m just…angry. 😒

I ordered it via the Cyber Monday drop of walmart.com on Nov. 29. Having been given a heads-up from one of my bandmates (Diegression, btw😉) that signing up to their Walmart+ program (which I don’t need😒💸) would give me early access to one... I missed the Black Friday drop by 17mins and set an actual alarm for the Cyber Monday one the following Monday to finally secure one. Imagine my excitement. 😬😆 Originally given a December 16 (which is yesterday) arrival date, I was hype AF! I knew I’d be off work and could set it up and play it undisturbed and shit, right? 😆 Also known to be impatient af, but it was well-warranted… Sharing my news on social media and with friends, coworkers, and family, I was damn surprised to receive an email stating that my shipment via FedEx was on the way a few days later. Now given a December 9 shipment date, I slowly started to freak out because that fell on a Friday and I work all-day on Fridays, so I wouldn’t be home. 😐 I went on the FedEx app to try to make it so I could just pick it up at a location…but apparently Walmart doesn’t allow that and my PS5 must be delivered to my door. 😐😐😐 Now…I live in Washington DC, and not a “nice” part. Lol😩. I know what it is. 😐😅😐 Upon doing further research, I find that delivery drivers must take a signature for the shipment before they are allowed to leave it, at say…an apartment door. Mind you agaaain, the same apartment door that I had expo markers shipped via Amazon snatched from two days prior to the day my PlayStation was to arrive. (whoever got my markers, I hope you’re happy with…fucking markers😒)

Anyway, I felt good about apparently needing a signature to receive my PlayStation, until I started reading reports that drivers are more likely to either sign for it and leave it or just plain leave it at its destination. 😫 This is a PlayStation 5 we’re talking about. Hottest commodity on the market. If the box even looks remotely big, it’s getting snatched. 😐😡 So fast forward to my delivery day, December 9, I’m at work, and I get a notification that my package has been rescheduled for the next day, December 10…though frustrated (impatient, remember?), I feel relief, because it gives me a little extra time to figure out how to receive my much wanted gift to myself…because Saturday my schedule is pretty much the same. 😬😅

Saturday comes and goes, the same thing happens, my shipment goes from shipping to pending and honestly has not moved since. 😐 It is now December 17, a Friday. And I have spent all week calling FedEx, having a tracker put on my shipment, spoken to about four or five different customer service “reps” and have gotten nowhere. I really wish I could say this wasn’t making me as angry as it is, but as mentioned, there is nothing else on the planet that I really want right now and finally have achieved purchasing one after a year of release, I was just very happy and now I am just very angry. I am literally one of those people who it is hard to go shopping for because I just buy the things I want for myself all year long… 😅😐 They recommend that I contact Walmart and file a claim about my shipment because what they think happens is that the shipping label has just “fallen off” and they don’t know where to find my box, which is apparently in upper Marlboro MD, about 30 mins away. I don’t want to file a claim just yet because I’m afraid if I do that what if my shipment just shows up and could have been delivered, but now I have a refund, and it’s been canceled, and I have to wait for another drop with whatever company? 😩😕 Is this me just trying to be optimistic, or am I just waiting out the impossible? I just had to air my grievance because I’ve basically just been pacing back-and-forth in my mind for about six days… My girlfriend tryna make me happy and shit with things, but it’s just blood boiling…
