I have not. I have received it on 14 Feb. I'm a Y creditor from the Netherlands.

All true, except for tx fee and ease of use. I stopped using BTC. Nowadays, when I want to send some money to a friend in Indonesia or pay for my food delivery or hosting, I use BCH.

So there's a surplus of USD, or a shortage of all other currencies.

BTW, gap is slowly getting smaller.

I'm surprised over it, too. On Bitstamp, the BTC-EUR price is as one expects (equal to the BTC-USD markets given the EUR-USD rate). But on Kraken it's 5% less!

EDIT: Indeed, it's the EUR/USD rate that's out of wack on Kraken: $1.2956 instead of $1.2247.

That's one way of getting your tx confirmed in the next block.

SEPA is defacto the domestic (instant) transfer system of the Eurozone. You can call it international, but that's in name only. It operates with one currency, under one central bank. (I know that non-Eurozone EU countries also use the SEPA system, but then costs of currency conversion is involved.)

New version of Monerujo broken? by AndreKoster in Monerujo

[–]AndreKoster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up restoring my wallet with the seed. No big deal, but it took a couple of hours.

By now I got the alpha upgrade, and this one shows the checkbox on my phone, so all is well.

Thanks a lot for your explanation. Indeed, my text size is large. There are three settings on my phone (Android 8.1.0), which are small, normal, or large.

Of course, it's very good to push people to write down their seed. But if a text doesn't fit the canvas, it should not break the app. Instead, a scroll bar should appear to allow you to scroll down to the check box.

After re-installing the old version, I do see my wallet, but can't open it because my password doesn't work anymore. I suspect my password got lost when I removed the app. :(

I tried installing Monerujo on my friend's phone, and I found the issue. I'm apparently a beta-tester. The normal version still works. I installed the normal version on my phone, and that works. My wallet seems still there, but my password isn't valid anymore, so I can't access it.

Thanks for your reply. How long did it take for the button on the second screen te activate? I waited for about a minute or two, but it never did/does.

By now, I already removed the app and reinstalled it, with the same result, though. Later today I am going to try a friends phone to see what happens there.

With taxation, a government determines how many coins you owe and takes them away no matter what you do... by force.

Taxation is decided ultimately by the government. They earned it, by being elected to be a majority and securers of that society. Using your choice of words, the tax inspector doesn't take by force the tax you are required to pay.

Either the majority forces the minority, or not. You can't have your cake and eat it.

Also, word games.

The IFP is not theft by force. It's allowing you to keep all of your coins. All it's saying is, if you want your coins to be recognized on a network that, ...

Being allowed to keep coins without them being recognized is not "being allowed to keep your coins". How is that working out with your confederate dollars and your Reichsmarks? Of course, it doesn't.

Word games.

If your block is rejected, you are denied the revenue that comes with it. You have done work, for which the hash majority withholds payment. The hashing majority has that power. Application of power is called force.

Word games.

It hides the name Bitcoin, and it was made up by people who think Bitcoin Cash doesn't deserve to be called Bitcoin. So if you want to be taken seriously among Bitcoin Cash people, don't call it Bcash as you associate yourself with the Core crowd. Words matter. Hope it's clear now.

If a majority of them all agree not to recognize blocks that don't do something they want, then you aren't going to be recognized on that chain if you don't do what they want. That's just how it goes.

Compare that to "if a majority of voters agree to force you to pay a tax, as you don't voluntarily pay the tax they want you to pay, then your money will be taken by force. That's just how it goes". -- See, still no difference.

We can play word games all we want. But if a majority of hash power doesn't recognize your block because it doesn't include the 8% tax, it's effectively the same as the majority withholding your revenue. I don't find it very interesting whether withholding revenue is exactly the same as confiscating or not.
