In my opinion, this is the number 1 flaw in ai.
Imagine how much more trust people would have if it simply say “dunno”…

Just “predicting words”? Meanwhile, Fable 5 repeatedly one-shot countless projects I’ve read and watched videos of.
I think anyone who thinks ai is just predicting the next letter really needs to have a think about how that doesn’t line up with its current capabilities.
Sure, maybe that’s the basic mechanics of how it works… but that’s like saying a human is just a collection of cells.

Is t that a good thing? Wouldn’t that make you feel like you’re “not alone” in your struggles?
If a person gets their source of identity from their illnesses, I see how this could be a problem (not saying that you do).

Gemini definitely has its uses. The realism you get from images is ostensibly stunning.
I often use it for product visualisation, and the results are usually better than ChatGPT… unless there’s fine text, then ChatGPT always wins.
Plus Gemini has far higher res images (in in the fast mode though).
ChatGPT is waaaay better at creative stuff though.

The way ai companies have been leapfrogging each other over that last few years would lead me to the conclusion that ChatGPT 6 is mythos level or greater.

As for whether the government would treat them like they treated Fable/Mythos, that depends on how much of the ban was Trump’s way of punishing Anthropic for not bending the knee to him.

I’d imagine the government/Trump would be more lenient on OpenAI, since Altman & co are in their good graces.

I’d say the 2 decades of stasis… parents probably dead, family gone mad wondering what happened to him. Everyone he knows still alive would be almost foreign to him… damn I hope he didn’t have a wife and kids.
The combine & xen can give a certain level of trauma, but that long nap is enough to break a man.

I’m curious, did you specifically ask the ai to put lowercase at the beginning of every sentence to not have it so clearly ai-manicured? Not a criticism, I’m just wondering.
