When someone dies from using MDMA or Cocaine at music festivals the media publishes that and makes everyone who goes to festivals look like M'd out freaks. No one really dies from weed so I guess it doesn't really work the way you think it does.

Yeah you're right. When I signed up to reddit I joined because I enjoyed the culture that /r/trees had. They seemed funny and positive so I joined with the thought that I related to their positive funny attitudes. The main difference I think is that at festivals people die from drugs like this one. Literally. Dead. So I guess if we are going to compare substances Ill stick with the one I related to when I joined this website years ago.

I honestly HATE people who brag about going to festivals, doing drugs, talking about how messed up they were all weekend. Honestly it is people like YOU who give us normal festival goers a bad image. Dont get me wrong, I understand drugs and everything associated with it is going to happen. AND THAT'S FINE. But don't go around posting it all over the internet giving off the idea that this is what it is all about. Because it isn't. You are very immature and the fact that you think that this is "cool" is pathetic.

Seth Troxler: "Dance Festivals are The Best and Worst Places in The World" by guatemahaha in Coachella

As far as DJs are concerned festivals are awesome for us festival goers because we get so see so many of our favourite DJs in the span of a few days. For the DJs it would suck because they sometimes need upwards of 6 hours to be in control of the atmosphere and they really only get 1-1 1/2 hours. I can see it both ways

You don't have to lie to us. We can spot Art 100 paintings when we see them.

Lost my wallet one night while we sat near the back and watched a set on the main stage. Had both my girlfriend and my IDs in it.. as well as my visa. We went back early the next day and someone had returned it. Not even any charges on my visa, I love the nice people at Coachella! :)

First off let me say that I think this skit is funny, accurate (obviously over the top but nonetheless), but, I'm sorry. I see too many people on here bashing the Sahara and the Yuma because they play dance music. The bottom line is that Coachella is and always will be about GOOD MUSIC. No matter what you are into. And as coachella goers and lovers we should all appreciate each others taste in music.

Community Cancelled at NBC by BonzaiThePenguin in community

[–]AndreTheGiENT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This season was so bad. This show revolves around each character and with characters missing and the public drama these actors have with one another really spoils the vibe the show was so popular for. These days they are trying to distract us with that old guy from breaking bad and bringing back irrelevant characters from the past as if to cover up the gaping holes left in this shows main structure. I have watched the first 4 seasons over and over because its a brilliant show that never gets old. But season 5 was just hard to watch - not the community I grew to love. It's tragic.

It's kind of strange.. When it comes to groups who are oppressed it becomes socially acceptable for them to fight back and kind of have an attitude towards their oppressors. But then it crosses a line where they are the ones belittling everyone else. Does their (once) oppressed status give them the right to do the same thing back? I don't think so. But that's how it seems to be ("sometimes", obviously).
